| Parent-child reading is not only a way of learning,but also a way of leisure and harmonious parent-child relationships.Parent-child reading activities are an important channel for cultivating children’s reading habits and improving their reading abilities.For teenagers and minors,parent-child reading activities effectively alleviate parent-child relationships,help teenagers transition smoothly to adolescence,and can also become a button to connect parents and children,forming a good family atmosphere.As a public welfare social and cultural institution,public libraries undertake an important mission of carrying out social education and developing intellectual resources.Under the background of nationwide reading,"carrying out nationwide reading activities" has become an important strategic deployment of the Party Central Committee,and parent-child reading has also become a highly concerned issue for all sectors of society.The "Public Library Law" implemented in 2018 clarifies that public libraries bear the responsibility of providing reading guidance and related education to minors,so public libraries bear the responsibility of the times in carrying out parent-child reading promotion services.The current research direction of public libraries for promoting parent-child reading is mainly focused on children.The research object group of this article is broader,which can enrich the participation group of parent-child reading promotion,thereby promoting nationwide reading and forming a good social atmosphere.This paper uses the methods of literature research,network survey,questionnaire survey,case analysis,etc.to understand the current situation of parent-child reading promotion activities in public libraries at home and abroad,and through field visits to learn more about the actual activities of public libraries,summarize their shortcomings,and propose corresponding strategies,in order to provide reference for the construction of parent-child reading promotion in public libraries.By studying and summarizing literature,combining relevant theories and concepts,and based on the background of universal reading,this study summarizes the current research status by combining the reading cycle theory and Maslow’s needs theory,accumulating a theoretical foundation and providing favorable assistance for the development of the paper.At the same time,a questionnaire survey was conducted on the participants of parent-child reading,collecting data,and analyzing and summarizing the data to understand the needs of the participating groups,It also provides a clearer understanding of the actual situation of promoting parent-child reading in public libraries,and proposes effective solutions based on the shortcomings and excellent case studies.It is proposed that public libraries can establish correct guidance,create a good reading atmosphere,expand the audience,increase user participation,combine online and offline promotion,carry out the "Public Library+" alliance model,innovate activity content,create brand activities,improve talent introduction and training mechanisms,and other strategies.This provides innovative and improved ideas for public libraries to promote parent-child reading activities. |
