Investigation And Analysis On Digital Resources Construction Of Medical University Libraries In Shanxi Province

With the rapid development of the Internet in the information age,the popularity of computers has significantly increased,and people’s daily life,work,and learning patterns have undergone tremendous changes compared to before.The storage and dissemination of knowledge and information have also undergone significant changes.A university library with highly concentrated digital information and literature resources is an important guarantee for scientific research in universities and a solid support for teacher teaching.Medical universities,as a type of highly specialized university in China,require students,faculty,and in-service clinical medical staff to constantly acquire cutting-edge subject knowledge when completing learning,teaching tasks,and research work.These are all inseparable from the utilization of digital resources.This article takes seven medical university libraries in Shanxi Province as the research object.By investigating the digital resource construction situation of each university library,it summarizes excellent experience and the problems in digital resource construction of medical university libraries in Shanxi Province.Based on these characteristics and shortcomings,corresponding measures and optimization suggestions are provided to provide suggestions for the development of digital resource construction in medical university libraries in Shanxi Province,Promote the improvement and long-term development of digital resource construction models in medical university libraries in Shanxi Province.This article is divided into six parts: The first part is an introduction,which mainly introduces the research background,purpose and significance of the topic,research status at home and abroad,research ideas,and innovation of this article;The second part is typical case analysis and inspiration,selecting three excellent medical universities in China as cases to summarize their development experience and provide reference for the digital resource system construction of medical university libraries in Shanxi Province;In the third part,a survey was conducted on seven medical university libraries in Shanxi Province to understand the current situation of each library.Based on this,a detailed investigation and analysis were conducted on the digital resource construction methods and types,service forms and promotion provided,and digital resource website platform construction of each university library,providing data support for discussing the shortcomings of digital resource construction in medical university libraries in this province;The fourth part is problem analysis,which analyzes the problems in the digital resource construction of medical university libraries in Shanxi Province,namely,the relatively small number of medical characteristic resources;Lack of resource types;Low degree of resource sharing;The service of librarians needs to be improved;Few library resource activities;The promotion of digital resources is narrow,and the relevant publicity efforts are low;Digital resource websites have poor standardization and cumbersome access steps;The fifth part is countermeasures and suggestions.In response to the problems in the digital resource construction of medical university libraries in Chapter 4,corresponding development suggestions and countermeasures are proposed,namely,to build a library digital resource system that conforms to the characteristics of our school,with a focus on improving the construction of medical characteristic digital resource systems;Increase the types of digital resources and strengthen the sharing of digital resources;Increase library resource activities and optimize librarian services;Vigorously promote library digital resource information and expand promotion methods;Standardize the digital resource websites of university libraries,simplify relevant operations,and enhance website interactivity;The sixth part mainly summarizes the survey of digital resource construction in medical university libraries in Shanxi Province.
