Research On The Practice,Influence And Enlightenment Of American Association Of School Librarians

Primary and secondary school library,also known as school library,is the literature and information center of the school.It provides reading resources and places for primary and secondary school students.It is an indispensable part of basic education.In recent years,China has paid more and more attention to the development of school libraries,and relevant departments have issued a series of documents to clearly strengthen the construction of primary and secondary school libraries in China.Based on this,the author believes that it is necessary to explore the construction and development of school library.Considering that the American Association of School Librarians has made great contributions to promoting the construction,development and service improvement of American school libraries,it is taken as the research object of this subject to study the basic situation,main activities,impact and Enlightenment of its experience to China.After collecting,translating and sorting out the official website and relevant websites of the association,analyze and summarize the characteristics and main impact of the development and activities of the association.The author mainly expounds the influence of American school librarian association from three aspects: school librarian,basic education and school library field.The research shows that the influence on school librarian is to improve librarian’s professional quality,enhance librarian’s communication and interaction,affect librarian’s professional identity and promote the realization of Librarian’s value;The impact on basic education is mainly reflected in enriching school teaching activities,ensuring fair access to resources,promoting the all-round development of students,broadening the development field of teachers,and influencing the formulation and modification of policies;The impact on the field of school library is to promote reading promotion,deepen transformation and development,expand social influence,promote service extension and strengthen academic research.In the last part of the article primary school libraries are summarized in the light of the previous research,analysis and ancient Chinese literature search.The main points of this lesson are: attaching importance to primary and secondary school libraries and promoting the deep integration of library work and education and teaching.Give play to the role of trade associations and introduce social forces to promote the development of culture and education;Provide diversified services to ensure that teachers and students make full use of primary and secondary school library resources;Actively carry out publicity work to highlight the important value of the industry and expand social impact;Promote the formulation of industry standards and emphasize the specialization,scientificity and systematicness of industry development;Improve the construction of librarians and improve the professional quality and status of primary and secondary school librarians;Strengthen academic research and promote the formation of discipline standard system of primary and secondary school libraries.
