| Digital Humanities(DH)is also called Humanities Computing,refers to the introduction of a series of activities such as data collection,organization,representation,analysis,communication-driven by digital technology n the process of humanities research,teaching and practice,so as to address the problem in the field of traditional humanities issues through innovative and diverse approaches.At present,how to apply digital technology to humanities research and promote the development of humanities has become a key concern in the humanities field.With the upsurge of the DH research,more and more research fields and social industries need DH professionals.Therefore,universities at home and abroad began to actively explore the education of DH talents.The history of DH education in foreign universities have relatively early,and a relatively mature DH education system have been formed.However,compared with Chinese colleges are relatively late in developing digital humanistic education.Therefore,the author uses literature survey,network research,comparative analysis to study the DH education carried out by iSchools,which are representative of in the field of LIS and deeply analyzes the development status and characteristics of these colleges and universities in carrying out DH Education from the dimensions of educational projects,curriculum,teaching staff,DH platform and employment direction,It provides valuable experience for the development of DH education in colleges and universities in our country.Through research,it found that iSchools has established multi-level and multi-channel DH degree programs and non-degree programs,and pay attention to the integration of basic knowledge,core competencies and DH literacy of LIS disciplines;the DH curriculum system is comprehensive,covering multiple disciplines,and the subject category is clear;the faculty structure is reasonable and diverse;a dedicated DH center is established to support DH education;pay attention to employment feedback,and adjust the teaching structure in a timely manner based on social needs.Therefore,in the process of exploring DH education,Chinese colleges can learn from the experience of iSchools and combine their own development characteristics to promote the reform and innovation of DH education. |
