| The 20 th Party Congress clearly put forward a new strategy for cultural construction,emphasising the importance of enhancing cultural self-confidence and self-improvement,mobilising the enthusiasm of the whole nation for cultural innovation and creation,and strengthening the spiritual power of the Chinese nation’s rejuvenation.Red culture is a great asset formed by the Party in the process of reform and construction practices,and it is of great importance to make it truly penetrate people’s hearts through innovative communication methods.History museums are valuable institutions for defining,recording and passing on red cultural resources.The specific social environment has created the identity of history museums,and the century-long history of the Chinese Communist Party has led to the existing cultural practices of history museums.It is the mission of museums to pass on our history and culture and to promote the spirit of our excellent culture,and they are uniquely placed to collect red cultural relics,disseminate red culture and promote the red spirit.In the context of a strong cultural nation,history museums should give full play to their advantages,make full use of red resources,inherit and promote red culture,and continue the red bloodline.This paper focuses on the innovative practice of red culture communication technology and experience in history museums,exploring how visitors enhance their experience in order to fulfil their educational agendas,drawing mainly on four aspects of The New Museology,a landmark work on new museology: audience experience:reflections on learning,communication and the phenomenon of visitation;social issues:reflections on time The New Museology is based on four areas: visitor experience:reflections on learning,communication and the phenomenon of visitation;social issues:reflections on time,identity and cultural rights;museum technology: reflections on living records and the connotations and values of red culture;and museum meaning: reflections on knowledge transmission and education.A total of 12 history museums were selected to observe and understand the behaviour and interactions of visitors in history museums through visitor video research and focus group interviews.By watching video footage of visitors to the museums participating in social practice university teaching classroom recordings of red culture dissemination and design follow-ups of predictable themes in the media,as well as using the focus group interview method,18 researchers were invited to conduct interviews with history museum managers,teacher participants in red culture dissemination practices,and student participants in red culture dissemination practices.After completing the interviews the video footage was coded section by section and summarised for free nodes with the help of Nvivo12 qualitative analysis software,using a descriptive vocabulary for open coding of nodes to reveal the interactive production process of experiencing sensation and meaning.The study concludes that the process of visitors’ participation in technology-enhanced red cultural communication practices in history museums can be summarised in the framework of "personal context → technology-enhanced experience→ realisation of cognition".Technology brings red cultural resources in history museums ’to life’,transforming the experience from dynamic to static;technology brings red cultural resources in history museums ’closer’,transforming the experience from far to near;technology makes Technology has enriched the practical experience of red culture dissemination in history museums,transforming it from less to more.In the future,technology will also enable red culture communication in history museums to transform from the material to the human,the human-centred,the known to the unknown. |
