Research On Inventory Management Optimization Of FC Company Based On ERP System

Manufacturing industry plays an important role in the national economy.Made in China2025 is a plan formulated by the Chinese government to achieve "from a big manufacturing country to a strong manufacturing country".Inventory management is also considered the third driving force after cost and research and development.Enterprise managers are increasingly aware that inventory management is an important link in the survival and development of enterprises.The ERP system has played a good role in inventory management,effectively controlling and preventing business risks,reducing labor costs,and promoting business performance growth.Although FC Company has always focused on inventory management,its management level is still far from sufficient.This thesis takes FC Company in the manufacturing industry as the research object,analyzes its inventory management,and proposes optimization plans for inventory management using the ERP system.In this thesis,the related concepts of inventory management are described,and the related theories of inventory management are introduced,including supplier managed inventory theory,security stock theory,demand prediction theory and information management theory.Sort out the literature on inventory management,and explain the research methods and innovation points adopted in the thesis.This thesis introduces the basic situation of inventory management in FC Company,then it analyses the current situation of the stock management from the stock component,the supplier’s management condition,internal inventory management status and customer demand forecast status,and the shortage of stock management in FC company was discovered.Based on ERP system,the thesis firstly defines the goal and principle of FC stock management according to the status quo and problems;Secondly,the VMI suppliers are screened and the operation business process of VMI is set with the help of VMI;Then ABC classification is implemented for the inventory,and the management methods are determined for the three types of inventory,and the safety inventory is set based on the unstable demand model;Finally,adjust the process of customer demand forecasting,use the exponential smoothing method for demand forecasting,develop a standardized outbound process,and build corresponding optimization plans based on ERP system for each stage of inventory management.In the whole process,put forward safeguard measures from three perspectives,in order to improve the inventory management level of FC Company.The research in this thesis can help FC company fully utilize the ERP system to improve inventory management level,laying a solid foundation for efficient inventory management in the future.At the same time,it hopes to provide certain reference significance for further inventory management in other manufacturing enterprises in the future.
