As the economy develops, the cold chain logistics industry is experiencing increasing prosperity.Third-party cold chain logistics enterprises with specialization and scale advantages face both broad development prospects and fierce market competition. Therefore,it is necessary to use scientific methods to rationally plan thirdparty cold chain businesses to gain competitive advantages.Against this backdrop, this thesis carries out a problem analysis and optimization modeling of M Company’s thirdparty intra-city cold chain distribution business to help M Company and third-party cold chain logistics enterprises improve their logistics planning level and reduce logistics costs.First, this thesis explores the development trend of third-party cold chain logistics in the current era and discusses the importance of using scientific and effective methods to improve pick-up and distribution efficiency in third-party cold chain logistics companies.Focusing on third-party cold chain logistics distribution issues, the thesis reviews domestic and international research on cold chain logistics optimization, lowcarbon cold chain logistics and logistics process optimization.Relevant concepts and basic theories of third-party cold chain logistics distribution, vehicle routing optimization theory,low-carbon cold chain logistics, and optimization methods of logistics processes are introduced.Based on the above theories,an analysis is conducted on the reasons for the high distribution costs of M Company’s third-party intra-city cold chain business, and it is found that there are problems of low efficiency in the pick-up and loading process and a lack of planning for cold chain distribution routes. To address the issue of low efficiency in the pick-up process, this thesis constructs a Petri net model of M Company’s pick-up and loading process, and combines the ECRS method to optimize and reconstruct the model. This helps M Company reduce process time and pre-cooling costs by 32.34%.In response to inadequate planning of cold chain delivery routes, the thesis considers using different vehicle models, minimizing the total cost comprising pre-cooling cost and carbon emission cost, establishing relevant models, and applying a variable neighborhood genetic algorithm to solve examples.A comparison of multi-vehicle cold chain distribution schemes reveals that joint transportation by logistics vehicles of varying capacities achieves the highest economic efficiency, reducing the total distribution cost by 24.19%.This thesis provides a certain way of thinking for the optimization and development of third-party cold chain logistics enterprises’ distribution business. At the same time,by incorporating pre-cooling costs into the cold chain logistics optimization model,a new cost function component is added to the cold chain logistics route optimization problem.
