Analysis On The Characteristic And Spillover Effect Of Economic Spatial Correlation Network In Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle

With the development of economic integration,the development of urban agglomerations has gradually shown a trend of rapid expansion and regional integration.China’s Pearl River Delta,Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei,and Yangtze River Delta have witnessed rapid economic development,among which the Yangtze River Delta has become one of the six world urban agglomerations.Since the eleventh five-year plan,many times in the national strategic planning emphasizes the important role of the strategy of "urban agglomeration",and more than approved national urban development groups,such as Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration,Harbin-Changchun megalopolis,Central Plains urban agglomeration,driving the development of national major regional strategy integration,establish a central city leading the development of urban agglomeration and urban agglomeration drive the new pattern of regional development,Promote the interactive development between regional plates.Compared with the economic development of the three urban agglomerations,the Yangtze River Delta,Pearl River Delta,and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomerations respectively account for about 20%,12%,and 8% of the national economic aggregate in 2020,while the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle only accounts for about 6%,which is still far behind.But it is the region with the greatest potential to become the fourth largest growth pole in the country.This paper analyzes the characteristics and spillover effects of economic spatial correlation network in Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle from the perspective of network and space,which is of great significance to promote the economic development and regional coordinated development in Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle.In this paper,the data of 44 cities in the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle from 2006 to 2019 are selected for correlation analysis.Firstly,the strength of the economic correlation is calculated based on the modified gravity model to analyze the economic spatial correlation of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle.Secondly,based on this,the economic spatial correlation network is constructed,and the characteristics of the economic spatial correlation network in the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle are analyzed with the help of the social network analysis method.Finally,the spatial econometric model is constructed to analyze the spillover effect of the economic spatial correlation network by considering the spatial influence of economic and spatial correlation status in the economic spatial correlation network.The results show that :(1)the distribution of economic spatial correlation in Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle presents a "barbell shape",the intensity of economic correlation increases year by year,and the economic spatial correlation is more and more close,mainly distributed in Chengdu metropolitan area and Chongqing metropolitan area,but the concentration trend is moderated.(2)The overall economic spatial correlation network of the Chengdu-Ch ongqing economic circle is not close but stable.The middle part,central and southern part,and northeast part appear to collapse state,and no reasonable and regular network structure is formed.(3)Chengdu is located in the center of the Chengdu-Chongqing econom ic circle.The relative degree centrality is distributed in the shape of "barbell",a nd the relative centrality is distributed in the economic development belt of Chen gdu-Chongqing economic circle,among which the obvious distribution is the development belt along the Yangtze River and south Chengdu-Chongqing developm ent belt.(4)The economy of the economic circle in the Chengdu-Chongqing area can be divided into four plates,which are mainly characterized by benefits and less spillover.The plates can be roughly divided into three main roles: two-way spillover,main benefit,and net benefit.The changes of cities within plates are unstable,but the relationship between plate roles and plates is relatively stable.(5)Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle economic space relation network in economic growth and spatial correlation status since the correlation index has significant space,economic space and associated status cluster phenomenon is obvious,without considering the space correlation status space effect on economic growth will overestimate the neighborhood spillover effect on local economic growth.The spatial correlation status has a significant positive spillover effect on economic growth,and the spillover effect is greater than the competition effect.The economic circle in the Chengdu-Chongqing area has a good economic development environment,and a better spatial correlation status is more conducive to regional economic development.In view of the above conclusions,it is suggested that Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle should first,accelerate the development level of secondary cities,form the spatial urban fulcrum as soon as possible,improve the driving ability of cities,and become an important growth point.Second,promote the spatial integration of industrial value chain and the development of spatial integration,establish multi-level cooperation mechanism,make up the "short board" of central Chengdu-Chongqing region,relieve the congestion and diseconomies of scale of central cities;Third,do a good job of top-level design,break down urban and administrative barriers.
