| Digital inclusive finance integrates Internet technology and inclusive finance, which can promote the consumption process in rural areas and ultimately help narrow the consumption gap between urban and rural residents. Therefore, the study of the two can explore countermeasures and directions to enhance the consumption potential in rural areas in the future and promote the integration of urban and rural development in China.Based on the existing research results at home and abroad, this thesis explores the influence of digital inclusive finance on the consumption gap between urban and rural residents in China from both theoretical and empirical aspects.By reviewing literature and related theories, this thesis analyzes the relationship between the two from the perspective of direct and indirect mechanisms, including income level, consumption security and digital payment, and puts forward three research hypotheses based on the current situation of the two.In empirical aspect, this article selects the panel data during 2011-2018,pratt&whitney financial development index as explained variable, the gap between urban and rural residents’consumption is as explained variable, the residents’ income gap between urban and rural areas, industrial structure and urbanization development level, the fiscal expenditure rate the degree of opening to the outside world, the Internet development, urban social security level as control variable,Using these nine indicators to construct a spatial econometric model to explore the relationship between the two variables, firstly using spatial Dubin model;Secondly, the robust experience of the spatial econometric model is carried out by substituting relevant variables. Finally, this paper confirms the correctness of the mechanism mentioned above through mechanism test, and the conclusions are as follows:(1)Digital inclusive finance has a positive and autocorrelation with the consumption gap between urban and rural residents in space, showing a certain concentration distribution in spatial distribution, and showing a strong spatial positive correlation.(2)On the one hand, digital inclusive finance significantly reduces the consumption gap between urban and rural residents in the selected prefecture-level cities.Among the control variables, the favorable factors for reducing the consumption gap between urban and rural residents include fiscal expenditure level and urbanization level; On the contrary, the unfavorable factor is the income gap between urban and rural residents; On the other hand, the narrowing effect of digital inclusive finance on the consumption gap between urban and rural residents also has an impact on adjacent areas in space.(3)The analysis of the influencing mechanism shows that digital inclusive finance acts on the consumption gap between urban and rural residents through the indirect transmission mechanism of income gap and the direct transmission mechanism of Internet credit, insurance and digital payment.Based on the above research conclusions, this thesis argues that China should accelerate the construction of digital inclusive financial infrastructure; We will deepen rural revitalization and see that rural incomes continue to increase. The development of digital inclusive finance should focus more on Internet credit and insurance. |
