| In recent years, the contradiction between the growing demand for a better life and unequal development has become one of the most serious in society. One of the manifestations of unbalanced and inadequate development is the large gap between urban and rural residents’ consumption. As one of the three carriages driving the economy, consumption is particularly important in the context of supply-side structural reform and sluggish economic growth due to the outbreak of COVID-19.In addition, with the rapid growth of the economy,it is necessary to pay more attention to the quality of life of the people.Digital inclusive finance plays a nonnegligible role in stimulating the consumption potential of rural residents and improving their consumption quality.Across the whole of the economy,Digital Inclusive Finance has been strongly promoted, increasing the scope and scope of financial services and enabling more people to have access to finance. Therefore, the development of digital inclusive finance may play a certain role in alleviating the dual economic structure of urban and rural areas and reducing the consumption quality gap between urban and rural residents. To probe into their relations is of vital importance for achieving common prosperity. On the basis of the domestic and foreign achievements, the thesis analyses its contents in theory and practice. In this article,we firstly look back on the documents and the difference in consumer quality between the cities and the countryside, then explain the fundamental theory foundation of it,such as consuming, finance excluding and financial development.By means of documents and theory paper discusses paper probes into the impact of digital inclusive financial on the urbanrural consumer quality gap and the ways to affect it.In terms of empirical analysis, this paper selects panel data from 2011 to 2020 to construct an evaluation index system of urban and rural residents’ consumption quality. The explained variable is the difference between the consumption quality of urban and rural residents, and the explanatory variable is digital financial inclusion Using dynamic panel model, threshold panel model and spatial panel model for analysis with the help of stata16 software, study on the Influence of Digital Inclusive Finance on Urban-Rural Consumer Quality Disparity, and whether there is threshold effect and spatial spillover effect. The empirical analysis draws the following conclusions: First, the nationwide development of digital inclusion finance can,to some extent, lead to the narrowing of the gap between urban and rural household consumption quality.Second, income inequality can be regarded as an intermediate variable, and its change is affected by digital financial inclusion, which will further affect the consumption quality gap between urban and rural residents.Thirdly, the fast growth of China’s digital finance integration has created a threshold effect, which can decrease the consumption gap between the city and the countryside. But when finance develops to a digital extent, the role of digital finance is reduced in reducing the disparity between the city and the countryside.Fourthly, the empirical result of the spatial panel model shows that because digital inclusive finance can break through the time and space constraints of traditional finance, its development can also benefit the surrounding areas, with positive spatial spillover effect. Finally, according to the theory and the demonstration, the paper proposes the following proposals for enhancing the development of digital financial systems and reducing the disparity between city and countryside inhabitants so as to realize the great objective of advancing the joint development of humanity.Reduce the threshold for access to digital finance inclusive services in rural areas, and foster the coordination of digital finance integration across all areas of China. |
