| Supermarkets have been playing an important role in satisfying consumers’ one-stop shopping needs for many years.Although supermarkets are facing unprecedented challenges under the double impact of the "new retail" era and the epidemic attack,improving commodity power is a timeless theme in the retail industry whenever it is mentioned.How to enhance the value of the commodity portfolio by enhancing the commodity power in a limited scenario,so as to improve the efficiency of the flat? Implementing category management has become an effective case handling method.Under the implementation of category management,commodity power is strengthened,and it is easy to form business differentiation with peers,stand out from them and stimulate competitiveness.Actually BS supermarket’s management philosophy in a number of traditional domestic supermarket chains is not lagging behind,as early as 10 years ago,they implemented category optimization,and introduced the MIS System(Management Information System)to daily record and processing of data,timely feedback to management,commodity contribution is one of the key indicators.However,for this key indicator,only stays at the level of recording and knowing,how to use it to achieve the purpose of optimizing categories and improving commodity power is not clear yet.Based on the actual operation data of BS Supermarket P store,this paper conducted in-depth interviews with dozens of relevant working experience more than20 years of experts,in the existing measure-commodity contribution,on the basis of increasing,factors which influence the change of through the factor analysis method to refine the public factor,scientific interpretation of each category of the actual commodity power.After observing,studying and analyzing the results of the commodity contribution assessment,we continue to dig into the information behind the products and develop more scientific and comprehensive category optimization plan based on streamlining the number of SKUs,cultivating imported brands,continuously and dynamically updating the product list,and strengthening the feedback mechanism,supported by artificially empowering means such as promotion and display. |
