| Water industry is not only a pillar industry of people’s livelihood to ensure the needs of residents’ economic life,but also a basic industry with overall impact on the national economy.For a long time in the past,the development of the water industry mainly relied on the investment driven "heavy asset operation mode" to do large-scale and expand assets.However,in recent years,with the increasing downward pressure on the macro economy,increasingly strict environmental supervision,and gradually white-hot competition in the industry,the water industry has entered a period of in-depth reform and reconstruction.The traditional "heavy asset operation mode" is facing a development bottleneck,and the exploration of transformation and development is particularly urgent.The development of water enterprises needs to gradually change from traditional capital promotion to technology promotion,and "light" installation is put into battle,so as to complete the transformation from "cost center" to "value center".Facing this new situation,BK water company put forward the asset light transformation strategy in 2018,becoming the first company in the domestic water industry to try to develop towards asset light,and its transformation operation has good industry representative significance.However,BK water company may face various problems in the process of asset light transformation.How to smoothly realize asset light transformation,better adapt to the changes of external environment and promote the healthy and sustainable development of enterprises has become the key problem faced by BK water company.Based on the above background,this thesis takes BK water company as the research object,based on the relevant theories such as division of labor theory,smile curve theory,value chain theory and core competitiveness theory,and uses the analysis methods such as literature research method,case study method and comparative research method to deeply study the internal and external motivation,transformation strategy and transformation effect of BK water company’s asset light transformation.The study found that with the implementation of asset light transformation strategy,BK water company not only improved its financial performance on the whole,but also achieved certain results in business diversification,enterprise innovation ability and market recognition,but there are also some problems in asset light strategic transformation.Finally,aiming at the problems existing in the asset light transformation process of BK water company,this thesis puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions from the aspects of strengthening independent innovation,accelerating inventory turnover,broadening financing channels and strengthening risk control,and further puts forward the implementation guarantee of transformation strategy optimization from the aspects of system,talent and culture.The research of this thesis has certain theoretical significance and practical value.From a theoretical point of view,due to the relatively late transformation of China’s water industry from heavy assets to light assets,there is still less research on this issue in the academic community.This research is a useful supplement to the research on the light assets transformation of environmental protection water industry.From the perspective of practical value,through the in-depth analysis of the transformation case of BK water company,this thesis not only helps to understand and optimize the asset light transformation strategy of the research object,but also provides some reference value for other water enterprises in the industry to implement asset light transformation. |
