A Study On The Impact Of The "Belt And Road" Initiative On The Open Economic Development Of Provinces Along The Route Of China

Since the "Belt and Road" initiative was proposed in 2013,the countries along the route have actively responded,and the economic opening up and cooperation have become increasingly close.As the initiator of the "Belt and Road" initiative,China has written it into the party constitution as a long-term development strategy in the new era.The "Belt and Road" not only affects the economic growth of countries along the route,but also plays an important role in the open development of provinces(cities,districts)in my country.It is of certain practical significance to explore how the "Belt and Road" affects my country’s open economic development.Based on data from 2010 to 2019,this article selects 30 provinces(cities,districts)in China as samples,and starts from the theoretical analysis of the "Belt and Road" Initiative and open economy-related theory.Seven second-level indicators under the two dimensions of openness(international openness),including the establishment indicators such as the contribution of foreign trade,foreign capital dependence,domestic capital dependence,domestic tourism income,etc.,District)Comprehensive scores of economic openness and comparative analysis,observe the trend of changes in the level of economic openness before and after the“Belt and Road”.Next,quantitative analysis of the policy effects of the "Belt and Road" from an empirical perspective.In order to avoid the impact of endogenous problems,this article first uses the tendency score matching method to match the sample.Based on this Methods to test the regression results.Studies found that from 2010 to 2019,my country’s economic opening level has increased to a certain extent,and the gap between the economic openness levels of the east and central and western regions is constantly narrowing;"Belt and Road" Initiative is mainly through the government’s fiscal expenditure,per capita GDP,and natural resource utilization factors affecting the level of economic openness.The size of the market is negatively related to the level of economic openness.The impact of patent authorization on economic openness is not significant.Based on the above studies,the following suggestions are put forward: First,pay attention to the practicality of patents.Second,"point-to-point" accurately arrange fiscal expenditure.Third,deepen exchanges and cooperation with countries along the route to achieve effective linkage of resources at home and abroad.Fourth,the eastern region should use the “Belt and Road” open platform to complete the improvement of independent research and development and innovation capabilities.The western region should build a tourism brand with regional characteristics under the support of the “Belt and Road”.This paper has 14 in Figures,11 in Table,67 references.
