Research On Economic Benefits And Influencing Factors Of Ginger Planting In Helin Town

Ginger planting is an important way for farmers in Helin Town to create wealth and increase local income.According to the statistics of the Liangping survey team of the National Bureau of Statistics in 2017,the output value of ginger in the same planting area is about 5 to 10 times that of rice.At present,about 2,000 farmers in Helin Town are engaged in ginger cultivation,with an output value of about 120 million yuan.Ginger has become a characteristic industry supported by the local government and has an important economic status.Through the field discovery,due to the natural shortcomings of ginger planting that needs to be replaced every year,the local ginger planting mode is mostly operated by small farmers,and the economic benefits of ginger planting of different farmers are quite different.In order to explore the key factors affecting the economic benefits of ginger planting of farmers,this study,based on a questionnaire survey of 105 local ginger farmers,analyzed farmers’ family endowments(human capital,social capital,physical capital,and natural capital)and non-family endowments(farmers and The degree of industrialization,the input of production factors per mu,the disaster,and the yield per unit area),and the different factors in these two aspects were quantitatively analyzed to analyze the direction and degree of their impact on the economic benefits of ginger planting for farmers.At the same time,a qualitative analysis was made on the effect of ginger market price fluctuations in different years on the economic benefits of ginger planting for farmers.Through quantitative analysis,this study found that the human capital(number of family agricultural laborers,ginger planting years),social capital(whether there are party members/village cadres in the family,whether they are members of cooperatives),and the input of production factors per mu(Pesticide input per mu of land)and whether disasters are encountered are the key factors affecting the economic benefits of ginger planting for farmers.Among them,the number of family agricultural laborers,the age of ginger planting,whether they are members of cooperatives and the economic benefits of ginger planting are significantly positively correlated with the economic benefits of ginger planting.There was a significant negative correlation;other factors were not the key factors affecting the economic benefits of ginger planting for farmers.Through qualitative analysis,this study found that the market price fluctuation of ginger in different years is also a key factor affecting the economic benefits of ginger planting for farmers.Finally,this study puts forward relevant suggestions for increasing the supply of ginger planting technology training,improving the quality of training,strengthening the construction of cooperatives,improving the degree of organization of farmers,increasing investment in infrastructure construction such as field frozen warehouses,doing a good job in branding,and extending the value chain.The government is concerned about the supply of ginger(agricultural)workers.This study hopes to provide help for farmers who are engaged in ginger planting in Helin Town to improve their economic benefits,and to provide decision-making basis for the layout and development of the local ginger industry.
