In recent years,under the background of the gradual development and rapid change of information and communication technology,more and more countries have used the development of digital economy as a means to continuously achieve the goal of enhancing their own competitiveness.At this stage,the development of the digital economy has become an important national strategy.With the continuous development of my country’s economy,the integrated development of the digital economy and manufacturing has also shown a strong competitive advantage and has become a new driving force for high-quality economic development.At present,taking the world’s leading digital development countries as a reference,my country is accelerating the construction of digital industrialization and industrial digitization,actively transforming the economic development model,and constantly striding towards the world-class level.Therefore,in-depth research on the digital economy and the green production efficiency of manufacturing is of great significance to achieve the green development of my country’s economy and the optimization of manufacturing production methods.The main line of this paper is to explore the impact of the development level of the digital economy on the green efficiency of the manufacturing industry.Firstly,the research background and theoretical and practical significance of this paper are expounded,and a large number of research results of domestic and foreign scholars on the digital economy and green total factor productivity are sorted out.the summary of.Secondly,it explores the influence mechanism of the development level of the digital economy on the green efficiency of the manufacturing industry,and draws from the existing research the mechanism of the digital economy promoting the green production efficiency of the manufacturing industry through technological innovation,which lays the foundation for the subsequent empirical research.Finally,based on the non-radial and non-angular SBM model and the ML index method,the green total factor productivity of 27 manufacturing industries in my country from 2004 to 2018 was calculated,and the following progressive empirical research ideas were used to test the development of the digital economy The role of green total factor productivity in manufacturing:(1)Use the two-way fixed model to test whether the development of the digital economy has a catalytic effect on the improvement of green total factor productivity in the manufacturing industry;(2)Use the threshold regression model to judge the development of the digital economy.(3)According to the research hypothesis,use the mediation effect model to verify the mechanism of product innovation and process innovation in the impact of the digital economy on the green total factor productivity of the manufacturing industry.This paper draws the following results through research and analysis:(1)During the research period,the development level of my country’s manufacturing digital economy and the green efficiency of manufacturing generally showed an upward trend,but there were great differences among various industries.(2)The development of the digital economy can promote the improvement of the green total factor productivity of the manufacturing industry.However,after dividing the manufacturing industry into highend,mid-end and low-end technology manufacturing industries,it is found that the development of the digital economy only affects the green efficiency of the high-end manufacturing industry.The improvement plays a catalytic role,while the improvement of the green efficiency of the low-end manufacturing industry plays a restraining role.(3)Different development stages of the digital economy have different effects on the improvement of green total factor productivity of the manufacturing industry.Specifically,with the continuous improvement of the level of the digital economy,its role in promoting green total factor productivity in the manufacturing industry is characterized by a first increase and then a decrease.(4)Through the empirical test of the influence mechanism,it is found that the digital economy improves its green total factor productivity by promoting the innovation of manufacturing products and processes.Finally,according to the research conclusions,corresponding policy suggestions are put forward on how the manufacturing industry can use the digital economy to improve green total factor productivity.
