Research On The Impact Of Digital Economy On The Development Quality Of China’s Service Industry

With the popularization of the Internet and the improvement of information technology,the scale of China’s digital economy is constantly expanding.The digital economy improves the development efficiency of enterprises and people’s quality of life.The digital economy plays a vital role in the development of the national economy and plays a higher and higher position in China’s development.At this stage,as the largest industry driving economic growth,the integration between service industry and digital economy is deepening day by day.Therefore,clarifying the impact mechanism of digital economy and seizing the opportunities brought by digital economy are of great significance to improve the problems existing in the development of service industry and improve the development quality of service industry.Firstly,starting from the theory,this thesis combs the connotation of the development of digital economy and service industry,and discusses the impact mechanism of digital economy on the development quality of service industry on the basis of introducing relevant theories and research results.Then,based on the data of 31 provinces and cities in China from 2013 to2020,select relevant variables,construct the index system of digital economy development level and service industry development quality level from different dimensions,use entropy method to weight,measure relevant indicators,and analyze the measurement results from multiple angles.Then it studies the impact of digital economy on the development quality of service industry from three different perspectives.Firstly,from the perspective of regional differences,this thesis studies the differences of the impact of digital economy on the development quality of service industry in central,Western and eastern China,and compares the impact in the three regions.Secondly,by introducing the intermediary variable of industrial structure upgrading,this thesis studies the indirect impact of digital economy on the development quality of service industry,and defines its impact mechanism.Finally,by introducing the urbanization rate as the threshold variable,this thesis explores the effect of digital economy on the development quality of service industry under different urbanization levels.The research results of this thesis show that:(1)the development quality level of China’s digital economy and service industry maintains a good upward development trend.The development of digital economy and service industry quality presents the development pattern of the best in the eastern region,the second in the central region and the lowest in the western region.The growth rate of digital economy in the central and western regions is higher than that in the eastern region,and the growth rate of service industry development quality is lower than that in the eastern region,There is still the problem of uncoordinated regional development.(2)The results of regional heterogeneity analysis show that the development of digital economy promotes the improvement of the development quality of service industry in the eastern,central and western regions,and plays the largest role in the central region and the smallest role in the eastern region.Among the control variables,innovation ability plays a positive role in promoting the development quality of service industry,while residents’ consumption and the degree of government intervention play different roles in different regions.(3)Through the analysis of intermediary effect,it is found that the upgrading of industrial structure plays a partial intermediary role in the improvement of the development quality of service industry by digital economy,which shows that part of the improvement of the development quality of service industry by digital economy is realized by promoting the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure.(4)The research results of threshold effect model show that the effect of digital economy on the development quality of service industry is different under different urbanization levels.With the improvement of urbanization level,its promoting effect changes from strong to weak.
