| Since the 21 st century,a new round of scientific and technological revolution,mainly marked by digitalization and informatization is sweeping the world,and the digital economy is becoming an important part of the national economy and reshaping the global production pattern.Unlike trade in goods,trade in services can cross borders more easily with digital technology and spread to all corners of the world,and while changing the mode of industrial operation,it obtains digital revenue and creates data value from the application of digital technology,thus giving birth to a new form of trade-digital services trade.In the current import and export trade,digital service trade is becoming an important element of export competition,and digital service industry is gradually becoming an important engine to lead further economic transformation and upgrading.Under the background of international division of labor trend from inter-industry to intra-product deepening,this paper aims to compare and analyze the development of digital service industry by measuring the GVC position of digital service industry.Further,study the influencing factors of GVC position in digital service industry,to provide suggestions for better cultivating digital service trade market and realizing digital drive of industry.Firstly,the GVC position of digital service industry is measured.The GVC position index is introduced to measure the current position of digital service industry in GVC of each country.The results show that the position of digital service industry in GVC of each country shows an overall rising trend and the gap between countries in the downstream and upstream of GVC does not decrease,but gradually increases.The position of China’s digital service industry in GVC shows an overall trend of "decreasing first and then increasing",and it has developed faster in recent years,from the downstream to the middle and upstream of GVC,but there is a certain gap compared with the top-ranked countries.The digital service industry of the United States,Japan and the United Kingdom ranks among the top three and is in the upstream position of GVC.Secondly,using panel model,this paper selects six factors that affect the position of GVC in digital service industry for empirical research.It is found that the increase of R&D investment,the accumulation of physical capital,the improvement of human capital structure,the foreign direct investment,and the deepening of digital technology application all contribute to the improvement of GVC position in digital service industry.However,the institutional indicator is significantly negative to the improvement of GVC position in digital service industry,which may be due to the phenomenon of "institutional friction" in the field of digital services between developed and developing countries.Finally,based on the results of the empirical study,and taking into account the current status of China’s digital service exports,this paper puts forward corresponding policy recommendations:(1)Expand the opening up of digital services to the outside world and make better use of foreign investment to support industrial development.(2)Increase investment in digital infrastructure and create a digital informatization development model.(3)Focus on R&D investment and cultivate digital growth momentum.(4)Enhance human resources and cultivate digital talents.(5)Increase physical capital investment to provide financial support for digital service industry.(6)Improve the supervision of digital services and formulate a reasonable development strategy. |
