In the era of experience economy,unique and unforgettable tourism experience has become a higher pursuit of today’s tourists.The study takes the Qingdao International Beer Festival as the research case and the tourists of the beer festival as the research object,combing the relevant research literature and guided by the theory of festival tourism and experience economy,based on the event and festival experience scale(EES)by SJANETT DE GEUS,adding social experience module and happiness measurement module to the questionnaire survey,combing with in-depth interview,to make a preliminary exploration on the tourist experience of Qingdao International Beer Festival and the relationship between tourism experience and happiness.The results show that:(1)The experience of male tourists in Qingdao International Beer Festival is better than that of female tourists,experience of foreign tourists is better than that of local tourists in Qingdao.(2)Tourists have a good experience of Qingdao International Beer Festival in all dimensions,most tourists agree that attending the beer festival can improve their happiness.To be specific,the affective engagement and experiencing novelty of tourists are more competitive.The passionate carnival atmosphere in the festival is very successful,and its unique features are appreciated by the majority.The cognitive engagement of tourists is relatively weak.Performance of physical and social engagement is mediocre,the setting of activities is full of ornamental but low participation,also lack of challenge,and the form of interaction is limited.(3)As for the peak and bad experience,the atmosphere here surprises people most,while transportation,catering and accommodation become the minus items.(4)Research on the relationship between tourism experience and tourists’ well-being shows that affective engagement,experiencing novelty and social engagement will have a significant positive impact on tourists’ well-being,while physical engagement and cognitive engagement will not.Then,based on the perspective of improving tourists’ experience and happiness,this paper gives suggestions on the sustainable development of Qingdao International Beer Festival in the era of experience economy.
