Research On The Development Of Farmers’ Cooperatives In Henan Province

As an essential part of China’s modern agricultural management system in rural areas,the farmers’ cooperative economy represented by farmers’ cooperatives has constructed the realistic foundation for developing China’s rural economy.Deepening the practice of farmers’ cooperation and improving the rural collective economic system are essential aspects of Rural Revitalization.Under the reform of the rural collective economic system,farmers’ cooperatives in China have developed efficiently.However,at the same time,there are practical difficulties in developing farmers’ cooperatives in practice.Because of this,this paper takes the cooperative economy theory and cooperative competition theory as the theoretical basis,analyzes the external variables presented in the institutional analysis and development framework,and analyzes and summarizes the development trend,achievements and existing problems of farmers’ cooperation in Henan Province in combination with the development status of four types of farmers’ cooperatives in Henan Province: grain crops,animal husbandry,cash crops and land circulation.The case analysis results show that:(1)farmers’ cooperatives in Henan Province show a development trend of diversification of participants,integration of business content and standardization of system and articles of association.(2)Farmers’ cooperatives in Henan Province have achieved economic and social benefits,which are embodied in the affluence of farmers,effective rural governance and the prosperity of the agricultural industry.(3)In the redevelopment of farmers’ cooperatives in Henan Province,there are various problems in the government,cooperatives and farmers,which restrict the development of farmers’ cooperatives.The government financial support is insufficient,and the technical support is insufficient,the cooperatives’ funds are insufficient,there is a lack of talents,the internal management is not standardized,the outflow of the rural labour force is severe,and the overall quality is low,the willingness to participate is not strong,and the effective participation of farmers is low.According to the problems existing in the development of farmers’ cooperatives in Henan Province,this paper puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions:(1)on the government side,improve government policy support and establish an excellent external environment;Strengthen government technical guidance,improve cooperatives and provide professional assistance.(2)In terms of cooperatives themselves,optimize the operation of cooperation and form a sustainable development model;Pay attention to the introduction of talents and enhance the driving force of development;Emphasize institutional management and promote standardized development.(3)In terms of farmers,we should promote the effective participation of farmers.Attract the return of the labour force and increase the number of participants;Improve the overall quality of farmers and improve the level of participation;Enhance farmers’ awareness of participation and deepen the degree of participation.
