| Innovation is the fundamental driving force for the transformation and upgrading of export trade.With the steady advancement of the innovation-driven development strategy,a new pattern of innovation ecosystem with the core features of deep integration of innovation subject,organic aggregation of innovation resources,and continuous optimization of the innovation environment is gradually taking shape,which become a new innovation-driven engine for China to achieve a quality power.In view of this,from the perspective of systems ecology,this paper comprehensively examines the impact of innovation ecosystem on export technological sophistication in China,in order to provide decision support for the transformation of China’s export trade from a quantitative expansion type to a quality benefit type.Firstly,this paper combs domestic and foreign literature,defines core concepts and expounds related theories;secondly,through the status quo analysis,it clarifies the changing trends and relationship characteristics of innovation ecosystem,industrial structure upgrading and export technological sophistication;thirdly,it analyzes the mechanism of direct and mediating effects of innovation ecosystems on export technological sophistication in China,and research hypotheses are proposed;then,the fixed effect model is used to empirically test the research hypotheses,and the analysis of industry heterogeneity and regional heterogeneity is carried out,robustness checks are carried out in a variety of ways at the same time.The results show that:(1)Overall,the innovation ecosystem and its components can improve the export technological sophistication in China,and there is a mediating effect of the industrial structure upgrade.(2)Industry heterogeneity analysis shows that in labor-intensive and technology-intensive industries,the innovation ecosystem and its constituent elements have a promoting effect on the export technological sophistication in China,while industrial structure upgrade has played a mediating effect;while in capital-intensive industries,the direct effect and the mediation effect of the innovation subject are not significant.(3)The analysis of regional heterogeneity shows that in regions with high innovation capability,the direct and mediating effects of innovation ecosystem and its components on the export technological sophistication in China are consistent with the full sample;while in regions with low innovation capability,the direct effect of innovation input on the export technological sophistication in China and the mediating effect of industrial structure upgrade between innovation subject and export technological sophistication in China are not significant.Finally,based on the above research conclusions,we propose adaptive and differentiated policy recommendations. |
