With the rapid development of the Internet and information technology, the working methods of employees have changed. In the workplace, the use of mobile communication tools for work and communication has become a common phenomenon. The development and use of information and communication technology(ICT)are blurring the boundaries of employees’ work and life.Employees have to work during non-working hours, which is reflected techno-invasion,The negative effects may go against the original intention of the organization. For example, employees also do things unrelated to work during working hours, that is employees’ time banditry behavior which is more likely to cause incalculable losses to the organization. So,what impact will techno-invasion have on employees’ time banditry behavior? How does it affect employees’ time banditry behavior? What measures can be taken to deal with this impact? These problems need to be solved urgently.Based on the above problems, this study analyzes the impact of Techno-invasion on employees’ time banditry behavior according to the ego depletion theory and conservation of resources theory, proposes a moderated mediation model with emotional exhaustion as the mediator variable and work meaningfulness as the moderated variable, and attempts to explore the mechanism and boundary conditions of Techno-invasion on employees’ time banditry behavior. This study consists of six parts. The first part is an introduction, which introduces the background, significant ideas, and innovation of this study. The second part is the literature review of related variables, including Techno-invasion,emotional exhaustion, work meaningfulness, and employees’ time banditry behavior. The third part is to propose the research hypothesis and research model.Based on the summary of each variable,it analyzes the possible relationship between the variables, and proposes the research model and theoretical hypothesis of this study in combination with the ego depletion theory and conservation of resources theory. The fourth part is the research design. On the basis of determining the research variables, compare the mature scales at home and abroad, select the appropriate scale for variable measurement and data collection. The fifth part is the empirical analysis and hypothesis testing. The data are analyzed through SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 23.0 to test whether the hypothesis is valid. The sixth part is the research conclusion and future prospects. On the basis of the empirical results,it discusses the practical guiding value and future prospects of this research for enterprise management. In this study,a questionnaire survey method was used to collect data at two time points. One month between the two-time points,378 valid questionnaires were obtained, and the data were empirically analyzed through SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 23.0.The data results showed that:(1)Techno-invasion is positively affecting employees’ time banditry behavior. That is,the deeper the Techno-invasion is,the more serious the employees’ time banditry behavior is.(2)Emotional exhaustion plays a mediating role between Techno-invasion and employees’ time banditry behavior.Techno-invasion makes employees easily fall into emotional exhaustion, thus increasing the possibility of employees’ time banditry behavior.(3)Work meaningfulness negatively regulates the positive impact of emotional exhaustion and employees’ time banditry behavior. The higher work meaningfulness, the smaller the positive impact of emotional exhaustion on employees’ time banditry behavior.Based on the above research conclusions, the following management implications are drawn:(1)The organization should give employees more choices and not force them to stay“online” during non-working hours.(2)By establishing an efficient working atmosphere, organizations can try their best to let employees complete their work tasks during working hours and reduce unnecessary“invisible overtime”.(3)The organization can improve relevant training for employees,so that employees can feel the meaningfulness of their work and love their work more.,to mitigate the negative impact of technology intrusion on employees.
