| China’s economic development has made a series of important achievements, but it is still facing the practical dilemma of the imbalance between urban and rural income.Promoting the integrated development of urban and rural areas and narrowing the income gap between urban and rural areas is not only the goal of achieving common prosperity, but also the only way to build a modern and powerful socialist country. As an important lever of rural revitalization, digital economy is penetrating into all links and scenarios of rural development, and digital technology continues to break the spatial restrictions between regions, guide the full flow between various elements, and promote coordinated development between regions. Therefore,in the information society, seizing new opportunities for development and exploring the impact of the digital economy on the income gap between urban and rural areas is more conducive to achieving high-quality economic development in China and common prosperity for the people.By studying the impact of the digital economy on the urban-rural income gap, this paper provides policy suggestions for narrowing the urban-rural income gap and promoting urban-rural development.Firstly, the literature of digital economy,urban-rural income gap and the relationship between digital economy and urban-rural income gap is sorted out,and the techno-economic paradigm theory, dual economic structure theory and new economic growth theory are laid the theoretical foundation of the paper, and the mechanism analysis is carried out from the direct effect and spatial effect of digital economy on urban-rural income gap.Secondly, based on the four dimensions of digital infrastructure, digital industrialization, industrial digitalization and digital inclusive finance, the digital economy is measured, the spatiotemporal evolution trend of the digital economy is analyzed by Arcgic and the trend plane, the urban-rural income gap is measured by the Thiel index, and the temporal and spatial evolution trend of the urban-rural income gap is analyzed by Arcgic and the trend plane.Thirdly,a regression model is established to analyze the impact of digital economy on urban-rural income gap,and the robustness of the results is verified by replacing variables, increasing variables, and excluding major cities, and then heterogeneity analysis is carried out according to different regional divisions.Second, since the digital economy passes the test of Moran index, the spatial Dubin model is introduced to explore the spatial spillover effect of the digital economy on the urban-rural income gap. Finally, the research conclusions are summarized and targeted policy recommendations are put forward. The research results indicate that: firstly, the overall level of the digital economy has increased, showing a trend of high in the east and low in the west, low in the north and high in the south, and protruding in the middle;Secondly, the income gap between urban and rural areas continues to narrow, showing an overall trend of high in the west and low in the east;Thirdly, the digital economy narrows the urban-rural income gap and has regional heterogeneity, while other control variables have different impacts;Fourthly, the digital economy has a significant spatial spillover effect on the urban-rural income gap.Based on this, this article proposes to vigorously promote the construction of digital infrastructure and expand information dissemination;Promote the development of the digital industry and drive economic development;Promote the Digital transformation of the industry and promote the optimization and upgrading of the industrial structure;Strengthen the construction of inclusive finance and improve financial service capabilities;Formulate policies tailored to local conditions, and give full play to policy recommendations such as radiating and driving effects,in order to narrow the income gap between urban and rural areas. |
