| Global trade has unleashed a tsunami of digital services in the global digital economy as a result of the widespread use of mobile technology such cloud technology, bitcoin, and machine intelligence in industry.Countries are urgently seeking to formulate policies to foster the development of trade in digital services and achieve a new level of economic development in the digital age. However, the latest data from the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development directory show that China’s digital services trade still has some shortcomings compared to other major countries, including unbalanced development and low overall competitiveness.China’s digital services industry has rapidly expanded as a result of the adoption of policies like "Digital China" and "Digital Development." This paper analyses China’s digital trade’s potential to compete and the elements that affect it relying on these results and offers appropriate actions to raise China’s digital trade’s general level of rivalry. These remedies are relevant both theoretically and practically for China’s digital trade’s quality expansion. This article combines qualitative and quantitative research approaches to study the global competitiveness of China’s digital trade and the factors affecting it.First, this paper clarifies the research background and significance of digital service trade, sort out the research literature on digital service trade at home and abroad, and summarize the relevant concepts and theoretical foundations.Second,it examines the state of development of China’s digital services market from three angles: overall scope,sector-specific analysis, and regional analysis.Four variables are used to compare China’s commerce with other countries and examine how competitive the Chinese digital services market is on the global stage, such as: international market share(MS),relative advantage(RCA),trade competitiveness, and Michel’s change index.Then,12 variable indicators were chosen from the five dimensions based on Porter’s diamond model, the UNCTAD,the World Bank Database, etc.Principal component factor analysis was then performed to look at the correlation between each indicator and the global competitiveness of China’s digital trade. The findings indicate that factors influencing per capita consumer spending and the flexibility of China’s digital trade have an optimistic impact on the trade sector’s competitiveness, whereas FDI and trade constraints get a deleterious effect on the enhancement of China’s digital trade. We suggest defensive measures to advertise China’s digital commerce in four aspects: raising the quality of digital media, improving the building of digitalization, increasing the honesty of digital trade, and enhancing preferential policies for digital trade. These safeguards are based on the results of the empirical study on the nation of China’s digital trade’s expansion and its impact on global efficiency. |
