Tea industry is the traditional advantageous industry, the agricultural mainstay industry and farmers important economic source in Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture, and it has a very important position in Xiangxi's economic and social development. In recent years, the attention of the local government has made the tea industry develop gradually in a large scale to the top of Hunan province. However, Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture is not strong in the tea industry. Many problems have appeared in the process of development. Therefore, it is of great theoretical and practical significance to systematically analyze Xiangxi's tea industry, explore its competitive advantages and disadvantages, find out the key factors influencing its competitiveness, and accordingly put forward targeted policy suggestions to make up the lack of domestic research in this field.This paper makes a qualitative and systemic analysis of the tea industry competitiveness in Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture, explores its tea industry competitive advantages and disadvantages and analyzes the factors affecting the tea industry competitiveness by taking the tea industry as the research object, comprehensively applying the related theories of Industry Economics, Agricultural Economics, Development Economics, Regional Economics and Tea Science, using the method of integrating theory with practice and combining qualitative and quantitative analysis, and taking Porter's "Diamond Model" as the analysis tool. In order to enhance the credibility of the research, this paper also utilizes the empirical research method, Factor Analysis, to further explore the influence related degree of these factors. Through statistical analysis, the paper brings out the key factor affecting Xiangxi's tea industry, providing scientific theoretical guidance and policy decision-making reference for its development.This paper consists of five chapters. Chapter One makes an arrangement of the research background, research purpose and research significance, domestic and foreign related research status quo, elaborates the research content and research methods, as well as the innovation and deficiencies. Chapter Two expounds related basic theory about industry competitiveness involved in the paper, combines with the practice of Xiangxi's tea industry development, and confirms the basic meaning of the tea industry competitiveness. Chapter Three summarizes the tea industry development, and makes a qualitative analysis of the influential factors of the tea industry competitiveness according to Porter's "Diamond Model". Chapter Four makes a quantitative analysis of the factors influencing the tea industry competitiveness by using Factor Analysis, and draws the conclusion that the processing industry, industrial policy, human resources, the tourism industry, the potential demand, logistics transportation and tea resources are the key factors to influence Xiangxi' s tea industry competitiveness. Chapter Five puts forward the corresponding policy suggestions on the basis of previous analysis to promote the sound progress of the tea industry in Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture.
