Research On The Influence Of Digital Economy On The Servitization Development Of Chinese Manufacturing Industry

Manufacturing service is not only an important direction of current manufacturing industry development,but also very important for optimizing industrial structure and developing high economic quality.At present,with the continuous development of technological update and industrial reform,higher requirements are put forward for the servitization of manufacturing industry,and the development trend of servitization of manufacturing industry is also accelerating.As an important direction of current economic development,digital economy has shown strong integration ability at the beginning of its emergence,and its integration with manufacturing industry has spawned many new industrial forms.So in terms of the servitization development of manufacturing industry,does digital economy have a significant impact on it? How heterogeneous are different regions and industries?What are the policy implications? And so on.Based on this research,it can not only enrich the theoretical basis of digital economy driving the development and integration of real economy,but also provide countermeasures for our current manufacturing service-oriented transition,which has important theoretical and practical significance.Based on the above background,this paper investigates whether digital economy can improve the servitization level of Chinese manufacturing industry,and further explores the heterogeneity of the influence of different regions and different industry segments.First of all,this paper reviews and summarizes the literature related to digital economy and manufacturing servitization.Secondly,this paper calculates the development level of digital economy and service level of manufacturing industry by constructing evaluation index system and using input-output table respectively.Two characteristics are obtained:(1)the overall level of digital economy in our country shows a rising trend,and there are obvious differences among four regions: East,middle,west and Northeast;(2)The servitization level of China’s manufacturing industry shows a rising trend.Influenced by the original manufacturing base,the servitization level of manufacturing industry in some central and western regions ranks top.Next,this paper firstly summarizes the influence mechanism between digital economy and servitization of manufacturing industry from the theoretical level,and then constructs a theoretical model for empirical analysis.The regression results show that the development of digital economy can promote the improvement of servitization of manufacturing industry,which is still significant after robustness test.The results of heterogeneity analysis show that the digital economy has a more significant effect on the improvement of regions with a more complete manufacturing base.By distinguishing different service inputs,it is found that the digital servitization of manufacturing industry is more significantly affected by the digital economy than the non-digital servitization of manufacturing industry.Finally,based on the above research conclusions,the main policy recommendations of this paper are to develop digital economy in multiple dimensions and strengthen the foundation of service-oriented development of manufacturing industry.Promote the deep integration of industries and realize the development of manufacturing industry as a digital service;We will improve regional digital infrastructure and achieve high-quality development of the manufacturing industry.
