| With the acceleration of global economic integration and the continuous integration of supply chains,the competition in supply chains among manufacturing enterprises is becoming increasingly fierce,and inventory management is a key part of supply chain competition.BD is a manufacturing enterprise that mainly assembles electric wheelchair accessories.Due to the longterm use of the traditional raw material inventory management model without optimization,there are unreasonable raw material inventory structures and frequent material shortages,high inventory and excessive use of working capital and problems such as low inventory turnover rate and high proportion of sluggish materials have resulted in a large amount of inventory space being occupied by sluggish materials,lack of necessary working capital,and low operating efficiency.As a result,the production process cannot meet the industry standards of assembly enterprises,and it is even more difficult to meet the gradual increased order demand.Based on the theory and method of inventory management,this thesis optimizes the inventory management of raw materials in BD.First,use the interview method and collect second-hand data to comprehensively investigate and analyze the status of the inventory and the causes of the problem.Secondly,the thesis uses the inventory ABC classification method to optimize the original classification based only on the unit price of materials into an ABC classification that considers cycle consumption,improves the control accuracy of key materials,and lays a solid foundation for other optimization measures.Furthermore,through the establishment of a standard customer demand forecasting process and the introduction of exponential smoothing method to optimize customer demand forecasting,combined with the optimized ABC classification and the use of the economic order quantity model to optimize the ordering strategy,implement the main raw material suppliers to manage inventory,improve the accuracy of forecasting,reduce the risk of material shortage in production orders,increase the number of inventory turnover,reduce the generation of sluggish materials,and ensure healthy capital flow.The conclusion of the thesis shows that through the above-mentioned optimization of raw material inventory management,the number of A-type materials can be reduced from 122 to 77,the warehouse space can save more than 500 square meters of workshop area,and the inventory turnover times can be reduced from the previous monthly average of 1.7 times Increased to 2.5times,the total amount of raw material inventory dropped from an average of 10 million yuan per month to 7 million yuan.The optimization scheme in this thesis can improve the overall operational efficiency of inventory management under certain conditions,reduce inventory holding costs and management expenses,facilitate the on-time delivery of customer orders,improve customer satisfaction,and help to enhance the competitiveness of BD.Reach the industry standard level and have stronger comprehensive strength in competition and development. |
