| Since the 1990 s,with the rapid development of China’s economy,people’s material living standards have been significantly improved,and people’s consumption concepts have changed significantly,resulting in a rapid increase in demand for personal consumption loans,which has driven the rapid development of personal consumption loan business in commercial banks.On the one hand,many banks are gradually changing their profit model,which is mainly based on traditional corporate credit business,and vigorously developing personal consumption loan business to seek new profit growth points;on the other hand,China’s total consumption demand is currently on a downward trend,and the rapid development of personal consumption loans can effectively promote China’s consumption growth and boost domestic demand.However,benefits and risks are often like a double-edged sword,and the risks associated with the rapid development of personal consumption loan business are also increasing.Credit risk is one of the most important risks for commercial banks,and the level of credit risk management is a direct indicator of the management level of commercial banks.Compared with developed Western countries,China’s personal consumer loan business has a relatively short history of development,and there are imbalances in its structure and development,especially in terms of credit risk management of personal consumer loans.Under such circumstances,how to manage the credit risk of personal consumer loans well has gradually become the core issue to be addressed by Chinese commercial banks in developing their personal consumer loan business.In this paper,the authors analyse the current situation of credit risk management of personal consumption loans of Lanzhou Bank,discover the problems in the credit risk management of the bank,and propose optimisation and improvement measures.Firstly,the current situation of credit risk management of personal consumption loans in Lanzhou Bank is analysed,according to the process of credit risk management of personal consumption loans,specifically the three links of pre-loan investigation,mid-loan review and post-loan management.Secondly,the questionnaire survey method and interview method were used to investigate the personnel in the relevant positions of personal consumption loan credit risk management to find out the problems existing in the bank’s personal consumption loan credit risk management.Again,according to the existing problems,specific optimisation and improvement measures were formulated for the three links of pre-credit,mid-credit and post-credit.Finally,the four aspects of management,system,culture and system are used to ensure the smooth implementation of the improvement measures.This paper hopes that this study will help improve the level of credit risk management of personal consumer credit of Lanzhou Bank,establish a good foundation for the long-term development of personal consumer credit business of Lanzhou Bank,and contribute to the sustained and rapid rise of personal consumer credit business of other commercial banks nationwide. |
