The Measurement Of Financial Development Efficiency In Henan Province And Analysis Of Regional Differences

As an important strategic node of national regional development,Henan Province,the implementation of major national strategies such as the ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin,"One Belt,One Road",and rural revitalization,has accelerated the release of Henan Province’s strategic hinterland effect,and its role in national development has been continuously highlighted.However,there are still many factors restricting the high-quality development of Henan Province.Among them,the low efficiency of financial development has obviously delayed the process of high-quality development in Henan Province.Therefore,improving the efficiency of financial development is an important breakthrough to achieve high-quality financial development.Therefore,it has important theoretical and practical significance to explore the efficiency of financial development and its regional differences in Henan Province.This paper analyzes the current situation of financial development in Henan Province from the perspectives of financial development input and output.On this basis,an evaluation index system for financial development efficiency is constructed.The super-efficiency SBM model and Dagum Gini coefficient are used to evaluate Henan Province from 2011 to 2020.Financial development efficiency is measured and regional differences are analyzed.The analysis found:(1)Status of financial development in Henan Province:(1)Status of investment in financial development in Henan Province.The deposit balance,loan balance,insurance income and securities transaction volume of financial institutions in Henan Province showed an upward trend,but the linkage radiation area and core development area were smaller than the provincial average.The number of financial practitioners and financial institutions in Henan Province fluctuated,and the number of financial institutions in core development areas was at a low level.(2)The current situation of financial development output in Henan Province.The added value of the financial industry in Henan Province is increasing year by year,the growth rate is relatively high but slowing down,and the core development area and the linkage radiation area are at a low level.(2)The measurement results of the efficiency of financial development in Henan Province: The average value of the efficiency of financial development in Henan Province is 0.926,and there is still room for improvement.The low efficiency of financial development scale is the driving factor.The redundant investment in financial development in Henan Province is mainly concentrated in the number of financial practitioners,insurance income and financial institutions.The ranking of the average financial development efficiency is Zhengzhou metropolitan area(1.012)> provincial average(0.926)> core development area(0.909)> linkage radiation area(0.873).The scale efficiency of financial development is the driving factor of the financial development efficiency of Zhengzhou metropolitan area and the linkage radiation area,and the pure technical efficiency of financial development is the driving factor of the financial development efficiency of the core development area and the linkage radiation area.(3)Regional differences in the efficiency of financial development in Henan Province:(1)The overall differences in the efficiency of financial development in Henan Province are becoming smaller,the differences within regions are all decreasing but the trend is obviously different,and the differences between regions show a downward trend.In the regional differences,the phenomenon of overlapping and overlapping of different regions becomes more and more obvious.(2)The overall difference in pure technical efficiency of financial development in Henan Province is narrowing,which is the source of the overall narrowing difference in financial development efficiency.The regional differences are narrowing but have a greater impact on the overall differences.(3)The overall level of the overall difference in the scale and efficiency of financial development in Henan Province is relatively low,and the main source is the hypervariable density.(4)Suggestion for improving the efficiency of financial development in Henan Province: Increase investment in financial development in the linkage radiation area and core development area to help the financial industry output.Implement the regionalization strategy of Henan Province and improve the efficiency of financial development in Henan Province.Continue to narrow the regional differences in the efficiency of financial development in Henan Province to achieve coordinated development.
