In the recent years,the rural elderly population in Ibin District has been increasing in size.At the same time,along with the social problems such as aging before getting rich and continuous low fertility rate,the problem of rural elderly in Ibin area has become more serious.Although,the government purchase of Rural Home Care Services in Ibin District has developed rapidly in recent years,it is also being stretched in this serious context.In order to better cope with this challenge,it is necessary to accurately grasp the key elements influencing the government purchase of rural home care in Yibin District and propose timely and appropriate solution strategies.In this article,based on the New Public Management Theory,Principal-Agent Theory and Customer Satisfaction Theory,we analyze the current situation of aging in Ibin District,the current situation and problems of the government’s purchase of rural home care services,and design a survey questionnaire on the level of satisfaction with the government’s purchase of rural home care services in Ibin District.According to the survey data,the satisfaction of rural residents with the government purchase of rural home care giving services was investigated,and the main influencing factors of satisfaction with the government purchase of rural home care services in Ibin District were further investigated under three dimensions of personal traits,family characteristics and policy implementation by using multiple logistic regression model.Finally,based on the results of the empirical evidence,countermeasures and suggestions for improving rural residents’ satisfaction with the government’s purchase of rural home-based elderly care services were proposed.The findings of the study are as follows:(1)the government purchase of rural elderly home care services in Ibin District has been continuously innovated,but there are still problems such as lagging construction of elderly service facilities,insufficient supply of diversified elderly home care services,low professional quality of elderly service personnel,and relatively lagging system construction of elderly service,etc.;(2)the empirical results show that factors such as the educational level,residence mode and economic source of rural residents,and policy execution all have significant effects on the satisfaction of government purchase of rural senior care services at home;(3)policy suggestions are made in terms of building a professional talent team,improving service efficiency,strengthening communication with elderly people,enriching the content of services related to spiritual and cultural aspects,and perfecting a government-led public service system for community-based senior care.
