The Impact Of Informatization On Enterprises’ Ability To Eliminate The Shock Of Covid-19

The spread of novel coronavirus in the global sphere has brought great challenges to the normal operation of enterprises,many countries have announced delays in the resumption of work and production to combat the epidemic.In this context,it is urgent for enterprises to seek a new development model,and informatization is an important direction to help enterprises develop.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to fully study the impact of informatization on enterprises’ response to the epidemic.This study uses the change of enterprise exit probability and business performance to measure the ability of enterprises to deal with the impact of the epidemic.Therefore,based on the data from the 2020-2021 enterprise follow-up survey and the 2019 World Bank enterprise survey,this paper uses the propensity score matching model(PSM)to study the impact of informatization on enterprises’ response to the impact of COVID-19,and provides support for enterprises’ decision-making.The results show that under the impact of COVID-19,informatization can reduce the probability of enterprise exit and reduce the decline of enterprise business performance.In this paper,different matching methods are used to ensure the robustness of the results.Heterogeneity analysis showed that enterprises with a low proportion of female employees(employees with high family burdens)have a better effect of implementing informatization to improve business performance,none of the women senior managers of enterprises implementing informatization improve business performance is better,multi-organization enterprises have better effect of informatization than single-organization enterprises,the export enterprise is better than the effect of the export enterprises to implement informatization,Other service industries can better improve enterprise performance through informatization,while hotel and restaurant industry have no significant impact.Based on the above conclusions,countermeasures and suggestions are put forward for enterprises.Enterprises should implement and improve the level of enterprise informatization by establishing informatization management concept,perfecting informatization management system,investing funds to improve informatization facilities,attaching importance to informatization personnel training and strengthening network security protection.
