With the formation of land scale and the continuous development of agricultural industrialization,the development of family farm management mode has become an inevitable trend.The development of family farm has promoted the process of agricultural commercialization and the growth of agricultural economy.However,as the family farm is still in the early stage of development,there are some problems such as high overall cost,weak awareness of overall cost control and low profit level.In this case,if family farms can gain an advantage in cost control,it will be of great help to improve the competitiveness of family farms.However,the traditional cost management has great limitations,while the value chain cost control theory can study the internal and external links of family farms,find out and improve the current low level of cost control of family farms,so as to help family farms reduce costs and gain competitive advantages.This paper is based on Porter’s value chain theory and takes Qingshuang Family Farm as the research object.The research method combines case analysis,comparative analysis,and quantitative and qualitative analysis to study the cost control problem of Qingshuang Family Farm’s value chain.Firstly,based on the Porter value chain theory model,the internal and external value chain components of Qingshuang Family Farm were divided;Secondly,based on the research data of Qingshuang Family Farm from 2020 to 2022,the cost savings rate of each link in the internal value chain of Qingshuang Family Farm is calculated from the basic and auxiliary activities of Qingshuang Family Farm;Based on the division of each link in the external value chain,calculate the cost savings rate of each link in the external value chain of Qingshuang Family Farm from two aspects: the upstream supplier link and the downstream sales management link.Based on the interview content and calculation data,identify the weak links in cost control of Qingshuang Family Farm and analyze their reasons.The conclusions are as follows:(1)in the process of production and operation,the cooperation of production and research improves the mechanization degree,and uses the Internet of things technology to realize the precision production,introduce rain-proof cultivation and drainage technology to reduce the impact of rain on grape cultivation;meanwhile,improve the labor cost management system,and carry out differentiated technology training for employees.In the R & D Link,should increase r & D investment,strengthen R & D.In the purchasing process,the purchasing management system should be improved and the purchasing plan management should be strengthened.(2)for the management of upstream suppliers,a perfect supplier management system should be established as soon as possible to classify and grade the suppliers.Extend the industrial chain to increase the value-added products,brand-building as a lead to drive the entire industrial chain of integrated development.In view of the lack of research on the cost control of the family farm value chain in China,this paper decomposes the cost control links from the internal and external value chain of the family farm,and looks for the key links to control the cost and improve the benefit,this paper provides a reference for further strengthening the cost control of the fresh family farm from which aspects,and uses the cost saving rate index to measure and analyze the weak links of the cost control of the value chain of the fresh family farm,it solves the problem that the cost of the family farm is difficult to measure,and provides the reference experience for improving the level of cost management and the operation ability of the fresh family farm.
