Research On The Effect Of Industrial Intelligent On The Survival Of Foreign Subsidiaries Of Chinese Enterprises

With the development of economic globalization and the advent of the industrial "4.0" era,this change in social production mode has promoted the trend of modern economic civilization to gradually transform into an intelligent development with digital intelligent technology as the main driving force.At the same time,China’s OUTWARD direct investment is facing the problem of short survival time,and a shorter survival cycle will waste a lot of social resources,which is also not be advantageous to the sustained and make development of the economy in good health.Starting from the perspective of industrial intelligence,this paper discusses the impact of China’s industrial intelligence on the survival of overseas subsidiaries of Chinese enterprises,which not only brings a new entry point for the study of the survival of overseas subsidiaries of Chinese enterprises,but also puts forward relevant suggestions for the development of industrial intelligence under the context of China’s industrial structure transformation.First of all,the article briefly sorts out the relevant literature on the economic effects of industrial intelligence and the influencing factors of the survival of overseas subsidiaries of multinational companies.Secondly,the article analyzes the possible channels for industrial intelligence to affect the survival of overseas subsidiaries of Chinese enterprises,and believes that the entry mode and total factor productivity of multinational companies are two possible ways for industrial intelligence to improve the survival of overseas subsidiaries of Chinese enterprises.Finally,this dissertation uses the data of China’s manufacturing and service industry-national dimension from 2007 to 2014 to conduct an empirical analysis,and the results show that the improvement of industrial intelligence has significantly improved the survival of overseas subsidiaries of Chinese enterprises.After considering the endogenous and robustness tests,the core conclusions remain true.Heterogeneity analysis shows that the improvement of industrial intelligence plays a significant role in promoting the survival of overseas subsidiaries of Chinese enterprises,especially in countries with similar cultural distances.The study of the intermediary effect model shows that the entry mode of multinational companies and the improvement of total factor productivity are the two role channels for the improvement of industrial intelligence to lead to the survival of overseas subsidiaries of Chinese enterprises.The results of the extended analysis show that industrial integration contributes to the role of industrial integration in promoting the survival of overseas subsidiaries of Chinese enterprises.The policy implication of the article is that China should not only promote the expansion of the scale of foreign direct investment,but also pay more attention to the improvement of the quality of foreign direct investment,improve the total factor productivity of multinational companies through the development of industrial intelligence,change their entry mode,and then improve the viability of overseas subsidiaries,reduce the risk of survival,improve the living conditions,and achieve the high-quality development of China’s outward direct investment.
