| With the rapid development of economic globalization,the mode of national participation in international division of labor has gradually evolved into the mode of global value chain,and the trade of intermediate goods has gradually become an indispensable link in the process of global production and an important part of China’s import trade.Manufacturing industry is the core source of China’s industrial industry.Improving the total factor productivity of manufacturing industry is conducive to the country’s economic transformation to high-quality development.Based on the perspective of import structure of intermediate goods,this paper studies the effect of total factor productivity on import structure of intermediate goods in manufacturing industry.The main content of this thesis includes five parts.The first part is the introduction.Firstly,the background and significance of the topic are expounded,and the literature research method is used to sort out the domestic and foreign literature under the related topics.The second part is the theoretical mechanism analysis,which summarizes the theory of import structure of intermediate goods and total factor productivity,and analyzes the influence mechanism of import structure of intermediate goods on total factor productivity.The third part is the current situation analysis.It calculates the import structure of intermediate goods and the total factor productivity of manufacturing industry respectively,and analyzes the current situation of import structure of intermediate goods and total factor productivity of manufacturing industry by using statistical description method.The fourth part is the empirical analysis.Through the empirical research method,the total factor productivity effect of the import structure of intermediate goods in the manufacturing industry is analyzed empirically.The fifth part is the conclusion and countermeasures.Based on the analysis of the current situation and the empirical part,the main conclusions of this paper are summarized,and then the countermeasures and suggestions are put forward.The main conclusions of this thesis are as follows:(1)In the import of intermediate goods in China’s manufacturing industry,the import volume of medium technology manufacturing sector and high technology manufacturing sector occupies the main position;(2)The market concentration degree of import sources of intermediate goods in low-technology manufacturing sector is small,indicating that the import sources of low-technology manufacturing sector are scattered,while the market concentration degree of import sources of intermediate goods in unclassified sector and high-tech manufacturing sector is large;(3)The index of technical efficiency of Chinese manufacturing industry showed a trend of gradual increase.The index of total factor productivity and technical progress increased gradually from2006 to 2018,but declined significantly in 2019 and 2020;(4)The import structure of intermediate goods has a positive effect on the total factor productivity,technical efficiency index and technical progress index,indicating that the optimization of the import structure of intermediate goods can effectively promote the improvement of the total factor productivity of the manufacturing industry.The influence of import market structure of intermediate goods on total factor productivity,technical progress index and technical efficiency index is negative,indicating that the decrease of import source concentration is conducive to the improvement of total factor productivity of manufacturing industry;(5)From the perspective of countries,in the regression of OECD countries,the impact of import structure of intermediate goods on total factor productivity is significantly positive,but not significant in the regression of non-OECD countries.From the perspective of different sectors,in the labor and resource-intensive sectors,the import structure of intermediate goods has a negative impact on the total factor productivity,while the import structure of intermediate goods in the other five sectors has a significant positive impact on the total factor productivity. |
