Research On Guangxi Border Trade And Economic Growth Under The Background Of New Development Pattern

In response to the current world economic tide,China has proposed a new development pattern in which the domestic and international double cycles promote each other,which is another major strategic decision to promote economic globalisation,industrial internationalisation and regional economic integration.Under this concept,improving the unbalanced and insufficient development of China,as well as developing the economy of the relatively backward western border areas,is particularly important for building the domestic cycle.Guangxi can take advantage of the construction of the domestic cycle to undertake the transfer of industries from the eastern region,and can also become an important hub of the "double cycle" through the deepening of the "Belt and Road" with Southeast Asian countries.The strategic position is self-evident.Border trade is an important form of foreign trade between China and Vietnam,and is of great importance in promoting the economic development of both countries,improving the income and quality of life of border people on both sides,and advancing the strategy of "promoting the border to enrich the people".Economic growth plays an important role in border trade,providing material support for border trade and stimulating consumption to expand the demand for border trade imports.Based on the theories related to border trade,this paper analyzes the current situation,opportunities and dilemmas of border trade development in Guangxi,explores the successes of border trade development cases at home and abroad,and empirically analyzes the relationship between border trade and economic growth in Guangxi,and finds that: Guangxi’s economic growth has a positive effect on border trade,and for every 1% increase in Guangxi’s GDP,border trade will increase by 1.63%,and Guangxi’s GDP is the Granger cause.By prediction,under normal circumstances,if Guangxi can maintain a 5.5% economic growth rate,the growth rate of Guangxi’s border trade can reach 9.8%.Therefore,deepening the cooperation model,strengthening the infrastructure construction,optimising the institutional system,innovating the industrial model and developing information technology can provide the material basis for Guangxi’s border trade continuously and promote the border trade to close to the general trade and develop in a healthy and orderly manner,which is in line with the construction of the new development pattern of the double cycle and the economic development trend of the reengineering of the global value chain system and the reshaping of the trade pattern.
