Research On The Impact Of Digital Information Infrastructure In Central Cities On The High-quality Economic Development Of Urban Agglomerations

With the acceleration of the digital process,the construction of digital information infrastructure has become the focus of competition among cities.The construction of digital information infrastructure is one of the fundamental and leading industries that are extremely important for China’s national economy,and plays a pivotal role in promoting the high-quality development of China’s economy.This article selects the central cities of 19 major urban agglomerations in China as the research objects,and uses the panel data model to explore the impact of the construction of digital information infrastructure in central cities on the high-quality development of urban clusters.The non-expected output SBM model is used to measure the high-quality development indicators of urban clusters,and empirical analysis is conducted on the impact of central city information infrastructure on the high-quality development of urban clusters.The study found that: firstly,the construction of digital information infrastructure in central cities is conducive to the high-quality development of urban clusters.Additionally,the establishment of mobile phone and internet infrastructure in central cities has a positive impact on the high-quality development of the economy.Secondly,in the rapid growth stage of digital information infrastructure,mobile phones and Internet infrastructure can promote high-quality economic development,and the impact of Internet infrastructure is more significant.In the stage of transformation and upgrading of digital information infrastructure,the impact of Internet infrastructure on high-quality economic development is still significant,while the impact of mobile phone infrastructure is no longer significant.As a result,there are phased differences in the impact of digital information infrastructure on high-quality economic development at different stages of development.Moreover,with the rapid growth stage and transformation and upgrading stage of digital information infrastructure development,the digital information infrastructure construction of national central cities is in the mature and declining period of information development,and its role in high-quality economic development has changed from strong to weak.The construction of digital information infrastructure in non-national central cities is in the growth and mature period of information development,and its role in high-quality economic development has changed from weak to strong.Finally,based on kernel density analysis,internet infrastructure and mobile phone infrastructure are respectively represented by a "sharp and narrow" single peak and a "flat and wide" double peak,and both exhibit obvious tail phenomena,indicating that there is a large gap in the development of digital information infrastructure among central cities in urban clusters,and the level of multi-polarization in the development of mobile phone infrastructure in central cities is greater than that of internet infrastructure.
