| In recent years,China’s cross-border e-commerce imports and exports continue to rise,in the context of fifteen countries signing the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership(RCEP)in 2020,including China and the ten ASEAN countries,South Korea,Japan,Australia,New Zealand, exploring the factors influencing China’s cross-border e-commerce exports to RCEP members, and looking for links to trade facilitation, will be able to help China continue to increase China’s cross-border e-commerce exports to RCEP member states, under the conditions of the current RCEP partnership, finally, turning cross-border e-commerce to a new driving force for the development of China’s trade import and export, leading to the continuous improvement of China’s trade and import and export. On the basis of the existing literature research, first, this thesis studies the theoretical influence mechanism of trade facilitation on the export scale of cross-border e-commerce.Second,this thesis constructs the index system of trade facilitation by using the principal component analysis method, and analyzes the current situation of trade facilitation of RCEP member states, and describes the export scale of cross-border e-commerce of RCEP member states.Third, this thesis selects five control variables to create an expanded trade gravity model, and uses the panel data of RCEP member states from 2012-2019 to empirically study the impact of trade facilitation on the scale of China’s cross-border e-commerce export trade. The empirical results show that,in addition to the tariff index, the four explanatory variables all have a significant impact on the export scale of China’s cross-border e-commerce,and the symbols of the four explanatory variables are all in line with the theoretical expectations.Among them, improving the GDP,total domestic population and trade facilitation level of RCEP importing countries can significantly improve the export scale of China’s cross-border e-commerce,and increasing the geographical distance between importing countries and China can significantly inhibit the export scale of China’s cross-border e-commerce.In addition, this thesis will group countries according to the income level of countries to explore the differentiated distribution of China’s cross-border e-commerce export scale to RCEP,and find that high-income countries can more significantly increase the export scale of China’s cross-border e-commerce by improving the level of trade facilitation. In addition, this thesis measures the export potential level of China’s cross-border e-commerce to RCEP members, and finds that the export potential development of China’s cross-border e-commerce is polarized. Finally, this thesis makes the following suggestions: China should strengthen its cross-border e-commerce export cooperation with RCEP members with high-level infrastructure, customs environment, institutional environment and e-commerce,China should study the differentiation strategy for the export development of cross-border e-commerce,and strengthen the construction of a three-way cross-border e-commerce trade pattern with Japan and South Korea. |
