Research On The Impact Of Technological Complexity On Urban Economic Resilience

With the increasingly severe and complex international economic and trade relations,coupled with the continuous impact of COVID-19 in public health emergencies,and the cumulative outbreak of various social risks,China’s urban economy positively affects the continuous unstable and uncertain factors.In this context,taking technological innovation as a breakthrough to enhance economic resilience has become the key to realize the organic coordination of development and security in the new stage of development.It is of great practical significance to innovatively discuss the causes of economic resilience from the perspective of regional internal technological structure,study the role of technological complexity in improving economic resilience,and seek high-quality and sustainable economic development for urban economies in the current high uncertainty environment.This paper on the basis of combing related research and theory,analyzes the technical complexity affects urban economic resilience mechanism,using 272 cities and above city panel data,based on HH modal network model and sensitivity index method of urban technology complexity and economic resilience,development and status analysis,finally empirical test the influence of regional technical complexity on economic resilience.The study found that: first,the new technological innovation in various Chinese cities has advanced by leaps and bounds,but the imbalance of technological development is becoming increasingly prominent.And different types of cities have different terms of technical complexity,Cities with better basic conditions such as eastern China and top 100 cities are better than other cities in technological accumulation and new technological innovation;Second,although the resilience of China’s economy is overall and regional,But around a quarter-1-2 of the cities are still more resilient,And the cities with improved economic resilience are widely distributed in urban agglomerations and coastal areas;Third,the technical complexity can effectively promote the generation of new technologies,Improve the resilience of the urban economy,Moreover,the effect of technological complexity on the economic resilience of the city is more significant in the eastern and central and top 100 cities than in the western and non-top 100 cities;Fourth,technological complexity is more effective but more limited,Not only do new technologies created by technological complexity have a negative impact on increased economic resilience,And the role of technological complexity on urban economic resilience is nonlinear,Its marginal effect shows a decreasing trend,Excessive technical complexity is not conducive to improving economic resilience;Fifth,the degree to which the technological complexity of a region acts on economic resilience is influenced by the maturity of the market system and market mechanisms,Optimizing market competition and uptake capacity can effectively promote the positive impact of technological complexity on economic resilience.
