Research On The Influence Of Farmers’ Financial Capability On Relative Poverty Of Household In Hunan Province

In November 2020,the problem of absolute poverty in my country has been historically resolved,and the focus of poverty governance has shifted from absolute poverty governance to relative poverty governance.In the new stage of relative poverty governance,Hunan Province,as a large agricultural province,has a relatively prominent problem of relative poverty.The financial ability of farmers in Hunan Province is generally low,resulting in insufficient endogenous motivation for farmers,which restricts the increase of their family income,and the relatively arduous task of poverty governance.Therefore,this paper takes farmers in Hunan Province as the research object,and deeply studies the impact of farmers’ financial ability on relative poverty in Hunan Province.By continuously improving farmers’ financial capabilities and increasing the financial well-being of farmers’ families,it hopes to effectively alleviate the relative poverty of families and further consolidate poverty alleviation in Hunan Province.It is of great theoretical and practical significance to tackle the tough achievements,comprehensively promote the strategy of rural revitalization,and promote the realization of common prosperity.First of all,on the basis of sorting out the relevant research results at home and abroad,this paper condenses the theoretical connotation of farmers’ financial ability from four dimensions: financial knowledge,financial skills,financial awareness,and financial behavior.Measure the relative poverty of rural households,and deeply analyze the impact mechanism of rural households’ financial ability on the relative poverty of households.Based on the field survey data of 886 farmers in Changsha County,Hengnan County,Shaoyang County,Yuanling County,Cili County,Yanling County and other counties and cities in Hunan Province,the factor analysis method and the summation method are used to scientifically and objectively calculate the results.This paper analyzes the status quo of farmers’ financial ability in Hunan Province,and uses the relative poverty status and degree of households to measure and analyze the relative poverty status of households.The results show that the financial ability index of farmers in Hunan Province is 6.77e-10,indicating that the level of farmers’ financial ability in Hunan Province is low.The relative poverty incidence rate of rural households in Hunan Province was 15.8%,and the average relative poverty level of households was 0.09.Then,the probit model is used to empirically analyze the impact of farmers’ financial ability on the relative poverty status of farmers in Hunan Province,and the linear regression model is used to empirically analyze the impact of farmers’ financial capabilities on the relative poverty level of farmers in Hunan Province.The results show that the financial ability of rural households in Hunan Province has a significant negative impact on the relative poverty status and degree of households.The higher the financial ability of rural households,the lower the incidence of relative poverty and the degree of relative poverty.Age,educational background,type of family management,and family social relations have a significant impact on the relative poverty status and degree of rural households.Finally,combined with the actual situation of farmers’ financial ability and relative poverty of farmers in Hunan Province,from the perspectives of the government,financial institutions and farmers themselves,it puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to improve the financial capabilities of farmers in Hunan Province to alleviate the relative poverty of farmers’ families,in order to effectively alleviate the relative poverty of families.It is of great theoretical and practical significance to further consolidate the achievements of poverty alleviation in Hunan Province,comprehensively promote the rural revitalization strategy,and promote the realization of common prosperity.
