| Agricultural modernization is the way for the sustainable development of country’s social economy.In recent years,digital technology has been integrated into all fields of production and life,and China attaches great importance to the development of digital economy.Located in capital vicinity,also as a major agricultural province,Hebei’s modernization transformation of agriculture driven by digital technology is a choice of the times and an inevitable trend.Focusing on the present,the development of digital agriculture in Hebei Province has achieved remarkable results.At the same time,the income gap between urban and rural areas is also shrinking.However,whether the development of digital agriculture has had an impact on the income gap between urban and rural areas is a question worth exploring in the process of realizing common prosperity.Theoretically,on the one hand,digital agriculture provides the basis for the digitalization of rural industries by promoting industrial agglomeration,thereby introducing intelligent production models to improve the quality and efficiency of agricultural production and increase farmers’ income;Development can better exert its "trickle-down" effect and narrow the income gap between urban and rural areas.Considering the complex topography of Hebei Province,digital agriculture will also have an impact on the urban-rural income gap through spatial effects.So,what is the impact of digital agriculture on the income gap between urban and rural areas? To what extent can it affect the income gap between urban and rural areas? This article will focus on the above issues.The paper first analyzes the current situation of agricultural development in Hebei Province,the construction of digital agriculture and the trend of urban-rural income gap,reviews and sorts out the relevant literature on digital agriculture and urban-rural income gap,and puts forward research questions.Secondly,on the basis of existing literature,the concept of digital agriculture is defined,that is,a development mode with labor,capital and digital enabling infrastructure as key input elements,modern information network as an important carrier,and using digital technology and information technology to improve agriculture’s productivity,networking and intelligence level.Subsequently,in terms of theoretical analysis,the theoretical logic of data becoming a modern factor of production and the impact of the development of the digital economy on the four links of agricultural production,exchange,distribution,and consumption are studied.Third,grasp the development law of digital agriculture and its impact on the urban-rural income gap from the Hebei province county level,examine innovatively the spatial spillover effect of digital agriculture on the urban-rural income gap,and build the impact mechanism of digital agriculture on the urbanrural income gap on the basis of existing research: analyzing the direct impact of digital agriculture on the urban-rural income gap,and the mediating effect of industrial agglomeration in the path of the impact of digital agriculture on the urban-rural income gap,discuss the moderating role of digital inclusive finance.Further,in terms of empirical research,the paper constructs the digital agriculture development index and the Theil index of urban-rural income gap,and analyzes the time and space changes in digital agriculture and urban-rural income gap using the panel data of 115 county-level administrative units in Hebei Province from2018 to 2020.The non-parametric Bootstrap moderated mediating effect model and the spatial panel econometric model of entity and time two-way fixed effects are used to test the impact mechanism and spatial spillover effect of digital agriculture on urban-rural areas income gap.According to the different topography and natural endowment,the spatial heterogeneity of digital agriculture’s impact on the urban-rural income gap in Hebei different regions is analyzed,and the research conclusion is drawn.Finally,with the goal of narrowing the income gap between urban and rural areas,targeting policy recommendations are put forward for the future development of digital agriculture in Hebei Province.The research conclusions of this paper mainly include the following five points.First,from 2018 to 2020,the development level of digital agriculture in Hebei Province has been continuously improved,showing the characteristics of "high-high" and "low-low" aggregation in space,and there is positive spatial autocorrelation.Second,the income gap between urban and rural areas continued to narrow from 2018 to 2020,with spatial autocorrelation,and the southern region developed rapidly.Third,the impact of digital agriculture on the urban-rural income gap in Hebei Province presents a "positive U-shaped" relationship that first narrows and then expands;industrial agglomeration plays a negative mediator role in the relationship;financial support plays a negative moderator role.Fourth,there is heterogeneity in the impact of the digital agriculture on the urban-rural income gap in different regions.In the Taihang Mountains and the Piedmont Plain area,the Haihe Plain,and the saline-alkali coastal plain,there is a "positive U-shaped" relationship.In the Zhangjiakou Chengde and Bashang Plateau areas,it is an "inverted U-shaped" relationship.Fifth,digital agriculture has a significant negative spatial spillover effect on the urban-rural income gap,and the level of manufacturing agglomeration and digital inclusive finance also have a negative and significant spatial spillover effect on the urban-rural income gap.In order to better play the role of digital agriculture in narrowing the urbanrural income gap,Hebei Province should promote industrial agglomeration development,accelerate the development of digital inclusive finance,assist in urban-rural integration construction,increase the number of high-quality agricultural employees,cultivate characteristic advantageous industries,and strengthen assistance in key regions to accelerate the modernization of agriculture and rural areas in Hebei,promote the construction of a strong agricultural province.In the new journey of rural revitalization,and in the process of promoting common prosperity,strive to write the Hebei chapter of Chinese path to modernization. |
