With the continuous evolution of the digital economy,the manufacturing industry is also actively transforming.Under the background of "Made in China 2025",the transformation of the manufacturing industry becomes very urgent.The transformation of servitization of manufacturing industry is driven by market demand change,consumer demand upgrade,scientific and technological progress and other factors.By providing consumers with customized,personalized and value-added services,manufacturing enterprises can better meet consumer needs and improve product competitiveness and market share.In this process,digital technology is made full use of to improve efficiency and competitiveness,which provides strong support for the transformation.The wide application of Internet technology also guarantees the feasibility of the transformation and makes it expand to the world continuously.In order to better understand the influence of input of digital intermediate goods on servitization of manufacturing industry,this paper firstly reviews the previous literature on the degree of servitization of manufacturing industry and input of intermediate goods,summarizes its basic definition,measurement and influencing factors,and then applies WIOD database and OECD database.This paper measures the input of digital intermediates and the servitization level of manufacturing in 18 manufacturing industries in 56 economies from 2000 to 2014,and then uses the two-way fixed effect variable model to make an empirical analysis of the two,and analyzes the relationship and mechanism sources between them.The results show that:(1)The degree of serserization of China’s manufacturing industry has steadily increased since 2008,and has gradually narrowed the gap between China and developed countries.Digital intermediate product input has risen to the first place in 2014 from 2000,when it was much lower than developed countries.(2)The input of digital intermediates can promote the servitization level of manufacturing industry,mainly by improving the competitiveness of manufacturing industry,availability of service elements,innovation ability,reducing transaction costs,and promoting the promotion of servitization of manufacturing industry.(3)From a macro perspective,the impact of digital intermediate input on manufacturing service level is heterogeneous.Compared with developing countries,the effect of digital intermediate input on developed countries is more obvious.Secondly,after 2008,the promotion degree of the input of digital intermediate goods to the servitization of manufacturing industry is more obvious than before 2008.The promotion degree of domestic digital intermediates input to manufacturing service is more obvious than that of imported digital intermediates input.(4)Based on industry,the promotion degree of digital intermediates input to the servitization of laborintensive manufacturing industry is greater than that of capital intensive manufacturing industry and technology intensive manufacturing industry;By dividing the servitization degree of manufacturing industry into different services,it can be concluded that the input of digital intermediate products has significant servitization for manufacturing industry using both modern service elements and productive service elements,but the former plays a small role.
