The earthquake disaster is one of the most terrible natural calamity that our country faces. The earthquake monitors and predicts is the basic link of protecting against and mitigating earthquake disasters, and also is the effective way of mitigating the earthquake disaster. The earthquake consultation is the important form for analyze the earthquake trend and form the earthquake forecasting suggestion, a kind of intellectual decision-making process which based on information and experts' knowledge.This paper analyzed the actual system of earthquake consultation, and considered that there exit insufficiency of the information use and the low efficiency of experts' knowledge integration during the traditional system of the earthquake consultation, especially the emergency consultation. The exhibitions are: the information of earthquake data materials include wide but dispersive, and only a few is utilized; the time resources for attending the emergency consultation is so pressing; experts who can attend the consultation are limited; there's no technological condition for experts exchange the operation between each other and fewer coordination study; low utilization of experts' resources, etc. But for protecting against and mitigating earthquake disasters, one of the development trends of the consultations is emergent consultation and urgent decision. Time is a life. We need a large number of real-time resources and the coordinate work of distributed experts, and form the suggestion in order to guide the response of the emergency within short time. But the traditional method and technological condition can't already meet the demand for responding the emergency of affair rapidly.This paper analyzed such emergent decision trend of the modern earthquake consultation, pointed out its demand of the time effectiveness, and introduced this grid technology into the earthquake consultation. The grid technology can link all data, information to space geographical position, so that realize the interconnection and interflow of global data and information and the trans-regional long-range operation. This technology can solve above-mentioned problems. This paper designed a kind of most effective coordinate working way, and structured the virtualearthquake consultation system. This system can upgrade the data source in time, deal with the great deal of data rapidly, and make more experts participate in the consultation and operate in coordination, and improve the time effectiveness that experts hold a consultation greatly. It can also be certain reference to our daily research work.After analyzing, comparing and studying, this virtual consultation system uses the means of combining the grid technology with the webpage. Screen from the commonly used grid architecture, this system finally adopted the grid architecture, the Opened Grid Services Architecture, to structure the system platform. This architecture is a model with four layers focus on the web service: 1, the layer of users' application; 2, the layer of cluster service; 3, the layer of resources and connective agreement which connect the server and the network; 4, the layer of conformation. The two middle layers are the grid cores. For virtual earthquake consultation, the realizations of the four layers are: 1, adopted the Web application program as the users' application layer. This layer based on Web browser/client application program and showed as the interface of the consultation system platform. 2, Cluster service is the grid service layer based on OGSA, and also based on J2EE to design and confirm the platform, in order to accomplish the flow and the data grid service of the consultation. The operation flow and the main logic flow adopted EJB and Session Bean of J2EE respectively. Data grid service adopted Entity Bean of EJB. 3, Resources and connective agreement which connect with the under layer adopted Web Service, and synthesize the application through internet over long term. The means of the realization of the Web Service is use JBuilder as the develop tools and BEA-WebLogic as the platform of server in the consultation system platform. 4, the layer of conformation is the resource layer in the virtual consultation system, and actually is the distributed data resource. It includes physical resource layer and logic resource layer. The physical layer is the PC serve. The logic resource layer is the database system (Oracle) and the application server system (BEA-WebLogic Application Server) which set up on the server.Through the analysis and comparison on several kinds of commonly used databases, according to the characters of the Oracle database, different kind of files saves on the hard disk; changes together with the accession of the data and the accretion of the application; constitutes with many table space logically; adopts the principle of the distributed management; and the newly version of Oracle Database 1 Og is designed for grid, this virtual earthquake consultation select Oracle database as the system resources, and integrate the users' information, data, different kind of chart and calculation, and design the corresponding interface.According to the demand of the respond for the emergency and make decision, this paper used the grid technology and adopted the most effective grid architecture to realize that deals with the great deal of data high-efficiently; economize time and improve time effectiveness and let more experts participate in the earthquake consultation and work in...
