Urban sustainable development is conditioned by the factors of the geology environment, for example, city layout, the site selection of ground building and the underground engineering, design construction and maintenance, etc. They depend on the accurate understanding of the city geology environment condition. The environment data of urban sustainable development includes datum, such as foundation geology, hydrology geology, engineering geology, disaster geology and entironment, etc. They announced the basic characteristic of the urban geology environment and provided the scientific gist for the city layout. These works involved the management urban geological data information, the urban geology data information can provide not only more beneficial analytical methods for geology workers, but also the basic urban geology datum and increment information service for government programming decision and public need. Their applications very extensive and have important meaning, so it's necessary for us to study themThis paper mainly aimed at the current situation of the Kunming geological environment, developed the Platform of urban geological data analysis system which make use of the module type GIS technique. the paper carried on a thorough research in the standardization management of geology environment data which based on the collecting the geology environment data of Kunming, and discussed the data standardization problems from five ways which include natural geography, foundation geology, hydrology geology, engineering geology and environment geology, then built up the space database of the urban geology. It overcame the limitation of traditional data reduction and application, attained the purpose of the management and renewal database from computer information, carried out the share of the information resources management and application of the urban geological data. In the meantime, aimed at the geology environment characteristics in Kunming, the paper researched and established three dimensional spaces analysis module which included eight special subject analysis modules about hydrology geology problem, engineering geology problem and environment geology problem. The system realized the spatial information of geology disaster points. It can not only display the spatial distribution by 3D terrain, but also browse and index the information for the geology disaster points. The system can managed the geology disaster scientific and efficient for government and provided the help in reduce and prevent the disaster. It realized the overall analysis to urban geological data in Kunming, and can realized the function of comprehensive evaluate to urban geological data. On the programming tools VC++6.0 and the GIS components ArcObjects, the urban geological data analysis system has been developed. The system is composed of spatial database management modular, spatial analysis modular, data conversion modular and system management modular. The system implemented the storage, management, index, refresh, analysis and evaluation of urban geological data information. This research could modify the flaw of the analysis using single model for urban geological data on the base of paper medium. It could improve the precision and efficiency of urban geological data analysis and evaluation and information's management. What's more, it offers a new technology approach for reasonable exploitation and development of urban geological resource.This paper carries through hereinafter research work:(1)through collected the geological environment data of Kunming city which included foundation geology, natural geography, hydrologic geology, engineering geology and ecological environment, the thesis analyzed and studied the concept, structure and function of urban geological data analysis system which based on the GIS.(2)the geological environment database of Kunming city was established by studied the structure of urban geological environment spatial database, the dividing method of spatial data map layer and structure of attribute data. The map database of Kunming city was established by the vector quantity map, and then built the attribute database of Access which has the information of attribute data, finally, the connecting was realized between map database and attribute database.( 3 ) The comprehensive evaluation mathematical model of urban geological environment was formed by analyze the urban geological environment problems of Kunming city and their mathematics analysis methods. The urban geological environment problems included hydrogeology problems, engineering geology problems and environment geology problems.(4)Through studied the frame of kunming geological data and its spatial distribution comprehensively, the 3D data model was designed. It realized the platform of urban geological data analysis & visualization.(5)The system realized the spatial information of geology disaster points. It can not only display the spatial distribution by 3D terrain, but also browse and index the information for the geology disaster points. The system can managed the geology disaster scientific and efficient for government and provided the help in reduce and prevent the disaster.(6)The urban geological data analysis system has been developed by the programming tools VC++6.0 and the GIS components ArcObjects. The system realized the valid management for geological data which included the storage, management, index, refresh, analysis and evaluation of urban geological data information. At the same time, the system could manage the applied model and system user. The system developed three spatial analysis modules. for example, the evaluation analytical model of the groundwater quality, geologic hazard evaluation model and dumping site selection evaluation model. These models realized comprehensive analysis and evaluation for urban geological data. They could provide the credible and accurate geological information for urban layout and engineering construction.The system not only has instruction meaning for the standardization management of Kunming city geological data, but also has the reference value for the same kind of city in the whole country about design and build of data model, data structure, and the geology environment visualization management.
