Based on the macro-characteristics of coalbed methane occurrence and distribution in Qinshui Basin, accumulation pattern on basin level is divided after detailed analysis and synthetic study about CBM geological background of the Basin and the Southern Dustpan-like Belt is selected to make a deeper study on micro-accumulation mechanism. Through the detailed research of coal distribution characteristics, source rock characteristics, porosity & permeability characteristics, adsorption characteristics and the synthetic evaluation of the caprock, hydrogeology, geological structure conditions, the reservoir & geological environment is made clear. The CBM migration concept is perfected and the migration classification plan is put forward based on formation condition and pore structure, and the briefly analysis is carried out on the CBM migration history of the study area. The geological reasons which caused carbon isotopic fractionation is being discussed, and the theory discussion is carried on the coalbed gas carbon isotope's fractionation effect from the angle of migration, a new classification method is built. The the method of systematology is introduced to study and evaluate the accumulation mechanism, the systematic analysis of the study area shows a strong system effect characteristics.
