Aims:Through the measurement and analysis of the CD8+,CD28+,CD8+ CD28+ andCD8+ CD28- expression of T lymphocytes from peripheral blood in qi deficiency syndromeof lung and spleen(QDSLS) and qi and yin deficiency syndrome of lung andspleen(QYDSLS) of the recurrent respiratory tract infection's children in non-acuteinfection periods to discuss its characteristics of expression, clinical implications andexplore the potential objective foundation in Syndrome Differentiating of ChineseMedicine. Methods: Choosing the eligibility samples according to the diagnostic, eliminate andinclusive criteria, immunodetections including CD8+,CD28+,CD8+ CD28+ and CD8+ CD28-of RRTI children of QDSLS and QYDSLS in non-acute infection periods by flowcytometry in T lymphocytes from peripheral blood are compared with the control group.Statistical analysis was performed by SPSS/PC10.0 system software.Results:1. The expression of CD8+ is low in T lymphocytes in both QDSLS and QYDSLSgroups, p<0.01 show significant differences between the groups QDSLS and control group. No significant difference (p>0.05) was found in groups of QYDSLS and controlgroups, and the same result to the QDSLS and QYDSLS groups.2. The expression of CD28+ is low in T lymphocytes in both QDSLS and QYDSLSgroups, and show significant differences compared with the control group (p<0.01),difference (p<0.05) was also found in QDSLS and QYDSLS groups.3. The expression of CD8+ CD28+% is low in T lymphocytes in both QDSLS andQYDSLS groups, and in the QYDSLS group it is lower than that of QDSLS group.Significant difference (p<0.01) was found in each two groups.4. The expression of CD8+ CD28-% is high in T lymphocytes in both QDSLS andQYDSLS groups, and in the QYDSLS group it is higher than that of QDSLS group.Significant difference (p<0.01) was found in each two groups.5. The expression of CD8+ CD28+ is low in T lymphocytes in both QDSLS andQYDSLS groups, and in the QYDSLS group it is lower than that of QDSLS group.Significant difference (p<0.01) was found in each two groups.6. The expression of CD8+ CD28- in T lymphocytes in both QDSLS and QYDSLSgroups has no significant difference (p>0.05) compared with the control group. But in QYDSLS group it is higher than that of QDSLS group and has significant difference(p<0.01).7. In the QDSLS group, Multivariate regression analysis (MRA) indicates the marks ofTraditional Chinese Medicine syndromes(Y)is correlated with CD8+ CD28+% (C)(p<0.01)and CD8+ CD28- (E,) (p<0.05), the correlation formulas can be expressed as Y=16.976-0.201C and Y=15.781-0.190C+0.07164E. Y is also correlated with CD8+ CD28-%(H),the correlation formulas are Y=16.976-0.201 (100-H) and Y=15.781-0.190 (100-H)+0.07164E.8. In the QYDSLS group, MRA shows Y is correlated with C (p<0.01),the correlationformula is Y=17.199-0.293C. Y is also correlated with H, the correlation formula isY=17.199-0.293 (100-H).Conclusions:1. Compared with the control group, the expression of CD8+ is not increased in Tlymphocytes from peripheral blood in QDSLS and QYDSLS groups of the RRTI's childrenin non-acute infection periods, so the opinion "In RRTI,the expression of CD4 isinduced, while CDs is increased, and the ratio is also induced" need further research,as itwas regarded as the norm to valuate the clinical effectiveness.2. In non-acute infection periods,in QDSLS and QYDSLS groups of the RRTI'schildren, the expression of costimulator CD28 is induced, the pathway of the costimulationis abnormal on activating T lymphocytes; The expression of CD8+ CD28- is increased in Tlymphocytes from peripheral blood while CD8+ CD28+ is induced indicates the imbalanceof CD8+ lymphocyte subgroup. This may be one of the Pathogenesis of RRTI.3. The expression of CD8+ CD28+ in T lymphocytes is a potential indicator to reflectthe RRTI children's immune function in non-acute infection periods, and the expression ofCD8+,CD28+,CD8+ CD28+ and CD8+ CD28- is helpful to the Traditional Chinese MedicineSyndromes Differentiating of QDSLS and QYDSLS in non-acute infection periods ofRRTI,and can be the objective indicator of the character of the different syndrome types.4. Alteration expressions of CD8+ CD28+% and CD8+ CD28-% are correlated with themarks of Traditional Chinese Medicine syndromes of QDSLS and QYDSLS,it could bebetake as an assessment method in clinical therapeutic effects with the advantage of simpleand economic.
