Objective: Through establishing the experimental animal model of proliferative vitreoretinopathy (PVR), compare the different mechanism of preventing and curing the Rabbit's eyes PVR between using the Huayusanjie tablets and using the ingredient in them which is for promoting blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis. Methods: Separate the RPE cells of the cultivated rabbits outside their bodies, then establish the PVR animal model by injecting these RPE cells into vitreous, using immunobistochemical technique to evaluate the expression of HGF. CTGF which has been influenced by Huayusanjie tablets. Radioactivoimmunity technique to measure the quantity of vitreous' HA in each group. Results: 2-3 days after completion of the model, turbidity like dust occurred in the vitreous; 3 days later, hyperplasia belt occurred. And then, the belt in the vitreous widened and grew forward to the surface of the retina; 15-60 days later, retina in a part of rabbits' eyes detached. The expression of HGF & CTGF in the model group is more obvious than in the normal one. The quantity of HA in tone model group is much more than in the nomal one (p<0.01) . In the area of suppression the expression of HGF, there' s no difference between the 2 groups (p>0.05) . However, in the area of suppressing the expression of CTGF and reducing the quantity of HA, the effect of Huayusanjie tablets' group is better than the latter one (p<0.01) . Conclusion: It is successful to establish the animal model by the way of...
