Personality Self & Individuality In The View Of Marxist Philosophy

To study the issue of individual being of person is of great meaning and value. The contemporary form of humanistic philosophy or the "Human being philosophy" is becoming the primary perspective of modern and future times-philosophy. Philosophical anthropology (Philosophical study of human being) is the theoretical core of the above perspective of philosophy. And the study of personality–self consists of the micro-foundation of philosophical anthropology. Our study of personality-self is based on liberal contemplation and fundamental, critical contemplation of philosophical methodology, and is aimed to explore the individual being of person, to expose the most important and the most meaningful issues concerning individual being of person. Our study is of some special merits for China today. During hundreds years of the development of capitalism in western developed countries, people's consciousness of individual-self there and theoretical achievements there have been accumulated a lot. But in our China, due to the oppression of the feudalistic culture, our social civilization of personality-self and our personality-self consciousness in the field of philosophy are almost in the condition of emptiness. In recently years, there occurs the flourishing in the study of philosophical anthropology in China, but the study of individual, the study of personality-self is still in a very poor condition.Our study is aimed to bring forth new theoretical ideas. All the valuable philosophical researches must be creative either in the aspect of resolving theoretical issues or in the aspect of responding practical questions. In my essay, the developing of my thinking is just based on the above two aspects of considerations. Through the studies in my essay, I believe that we do make creative breakthroughs in managing theoretical resources, in finding new methodologies, in expanding theoretical visions, in caring human practical lives and in arguing for new viewpoints.When we research the topic of individual being of person in recently years, when we manage to handle the theoretical resources concerning this topic, some ones care only the classics related to the issue of Personality; some ones care only the works about issues of Self; and some ones focus their study on the "Theory of desein"; others focus only the issues of Individuality. But my essay unifies all the resources as a whole, to get a sort of more perfect understanding of our topic. Some scholars take the dialogues with classics of traditional philosophy as the foundation of studying individual being of person, and they complete a great deal of works in this aspect. Otherwise, we can see that the studying of individual being of person in traditional philosophy usually focus on the issue of personal identity, or the issue of human essence. Modern philosophy concentrates the study of individual being of person on the issue of personal value. But Marxism realizes a sort of philosophical revolution based on the understanding the issues of practice. What my essay intends to do is to combine the analysis of the history of studying individual being of person with the studying the issue of personal identity, studying the issue of personal value and studying the issue of personal practice together organically. By this way, we might realize a more perfect and more profound view and theoretical form of our study. In addition, on the starting point of the whole theory and of the specific issues, we consciously apply Marxist dialectics, and try to show different doctrines concerning our topic, particularly try to show the rational elements of opposite viewpoints adequately, in order to find out the clues of the advance or progress of philosophical cognitions concerning our topic. We also try to embody the principle of realistic and the principle of practice of Marxist anthropology in every part of our study.
