The Research On The Cultural Heritage Value And Using Of Chinese Confucius Temple

The Chinese Confucius Temple firstly appeared in 478 B.C.(the second year since Confucius died), and is a memorial building that sacrificed to Confucius, which the great philosopher and the founder of Confucianism in Chinese ancient times at the beginning. In its endless development history of more than 2,000 years, accompanying with the position of Confucianism being promoted continuously, the quantity of the Chinese Confucius Temple increases continuously, and its grade is promote continuously also. At the beginning, it was used to sacrificed to Confucius only. With the development of Confucius Temple, the system of " the temple and school to unite as one " started to appear, and many famous wisdoms and scholars of China were sacrificed in Confucius Temple continuously. With this course, the connotation of Chinese Confucius Temple extends continuously. It coagulates the ruler's approbation, worships and praises toward the Confucianism in each history period, in the meantime, it concentrated the social politics, economy and culture condition of each history development period. It is the compound of the material wealth and spirit wealth, and incarnates a kind of humanities tradition of long standing.Cultural heritage is a kind of humankind's cultural inheritance that has outstanding value of history, art and science. From this meaning, the Confucius Temple of China is cultural heritage with very precious value doubtless. As to its property, the Confucius Temple is cultural heritage with intangible cultural heritage property synchronously. The value of cultural heritage need to be known and attached importance to by social and public, so that social and public can benefit from it. But because of various reasons of history and reality, the status of protection and using of the existent Chinese Confucius temple is not so optimistically. This thesis chooses the cultural heritage value and using of Chinese Confucius Temple as the study subject, and try to do some innovation in the following three sides. Firstly, regards the Chinese Confucius Temple as a kind of culture mark and culture symbol in Chinese traditional culture to carry on a research. Secondly, thoroughly research the precious cultural heritage value of this traditional Confucianism carrier, and builds up the Chinese Confucius Temple's cultural heritage value system; finds out the bonding point between the Chinese Confucius temple's cultural heritage value and the reality society. Thirdly, studies the present protection and using status of Chinese Confucius Temple by the numbers, summarizes the successful experiences and the reason of the predicament in reality, and provides the basis of theories and reality for how the Chinese Confucius Temple can develops its function on inheriting the mankind's culture better.There are six parts in this thesis. Chapter 1 is introduction, this part mainly illustrates the academic value of this research subject, and summarizes extant achievements. Meanwhile, it illustrates the thesis innovation points and research theories and methods. Chapter 2 mainly illustrates the important position of the Chinese Confucius Temple in Chinese traditional culture, and tries to carry on a research on the property of culture mark and culture symbol. This part studies the origin, development and the architectural composition of the Chinese Confucius Temple, and considers the property of culture sign and culture symbol in Chinese traditional culture bases on two sides: one is the important contribution on the spreading history of Confucianism; the other is the important contribution on the history of education. Chapter 3 mainly studies on the cultural heritage value of the Chinese Confucius Temple. This part researches the common meaning of cultural heritage value firstly, and establishes the cultural heritage value system of Chinese Confucius Temple. The system should includes five parts: the value of history research, the value of aesthetics and art, the value of science research, the value of culture inheritance and culture self-identity and the value of education in reality. Chapter 4 mainly illustrates the distributing condition of existent Confucius Temples in China, and introduces some important Confucius Temples in China and foreign countries. Chapter 5 is a study on the using of cultural heritage value of Chinese Confucius Temple in contemporary society. This part mainly analyzes the predicament in reality, and studies the using countermeasure of Chinese Confucius Temple. Meanwhile, considers that Chinese Confucius Temple should find the bonding point between itself and the reality society. The last part is the conclusion, this part is a summary based in fore five chapters, and further clarifies the important meaning of Chinese Confucius Temple's precious cultural heritage value in the inheritance of mankind's culture.
