Objective:(1)To develop Chinese translation of mood and anxiety symptom questionnaire(MASQ)and a set of assessments scales about diathesis-stress of anxiety and evaluate their reliability and validity.(2)To test the validity of the vulnerability-stress model of anxiety in Hunan undergraduates.(3)To explore the integrated vulnerability-stress model of anxiety in Hunan undergraduate students.Method:(1)The original version of a set of assessments scales about vulnerability-stress of anxiety was provided by Abela professor in McGill University and these final Chinese version scales were approved by repeated translation and back-translation.645 undergraduate students finished first test in time one.The related vulnerability scales were all retested after three-four weeks in 120-130 students among the first test sample.Six months later retested MASQ.The reliability analysis included the Cronbach's a coefficient, the mean inter-item correlation coefficient and test-retest reliability(intra-class correlation coefficient). The validity analysis included construct validity(the total scale and subscale inter-correlations and several indexes of the maximum-likelihood confirmatory factor analysis).(2)Path Analysis and Structural Equation Model(SEM)were used to explore integrated vulnerability-stress model of anxiety in Hunan undergraduates.Result:(1)The total Cronbach's a coefficient of MASQ was 0.93 and Cronbach'sαcoefficient of the subscales were between 0.79-0.92. The mean inter-item correlation coefficient of the total scale was 0.17 and the mean inter-item correlation coefficient of the sub scales were between 0.22-0.41.Test-retest reliability(intra-class correlation coefficient)of the total scale was 0.70 and the subscales of the test-retest reliability were between 0.59-0.71.All of the coefficients were significant.(2)The relation between the total scale of MASQ and the subscales were strong(r>0.6).The confirmatory analysis shows that the index of the four-structure of the MASQ all met the adequacy of fit standards, GFIs≥0.9,CFIs≥0.9,IFIs≥0.9 and RMSEA≤0.1.(3)The reliability and validity of all the related scales were met the adequacy of psychometric. (4)The findings of Multiple Hierarchical Regression Analysis revealed that neuroticism, and the interaction between negative cognition and stress, insecurity attachment and stress, neuroticism and stress, society satisfaction and stress were all significantly predicted anxiety symptoms.(5)The structural equation model for integrated vulnerability-stress model of anxiety analysis indicated neuroticism was the most important vulnerability factor for anxiety. It can influence anxiety symptoms directly or indirectly.(5)The structural equation model for integrated vulnerability-stress model of anxiety analysis wereχ~2/df(4.64),GFI(0.98),CFI(0.93),IFI(0.90),RMSEA(0.07).Conclusion:(1)MASQ and the related vulnerability factor scales exhibited rightly internal consistency,test-retest consistency and construct validity.(2)The result of this study in Hunan undergraduates affirmed the theory of vulnerability-stress model of anxiety, the vulnerability-stress interaction could incremental significantly power to anxiety symptoms.(3)A integrated vulnerability-stress model of anxiety in Hunan undergraduates was provided and to be confirmed, which can be used for intervention of anxiety in undergraduates.
