The development of Taiwan professional dancing in higher education has been transformed from the initial aesthetic education to a new form of educational model and style. This transition has impelled professional dancing education towards a new era.The objective of the thesis is to study about issues related to the development of higher level professional dancing education in Taiwan, such as the conversion, the problems, the strategies and the new model. At the beginning of the thesis, literatures regarding the topic were interpreted to analyze the basic coverage of dancing education. Secondly, the scientific and aesthetic of dancing education's basic theories were addressed. Besides, the issues of higher level professional dancing education were discussed, and workable strategies and new models were deliberated, while eight scholars from six different colleges were interviewed. Finally, the results are as shown below.A. The conversion of higher level professional dancing education in Taiwan includes: (1) The ascent of teachers qualification (2) The increasing of non-dancing specialized teachers (3) Common interchange among foreign teachers (4) The transformation of theory courses into technology (5) The increasing of non-traditional or non-mainstream dancing courses (6) The explicit characteristics of departmental development (7) The ascent of students' quality (8) The increasing of opportunities of students involving in internationalized interchange and performances (9) The increase of ratio of student furthering education (10) The burgeon of departments (11) The initiation of 7 years dancing education system (12) The increasing of teaching courses (13) The ascent of the ideology in cultivating multitalented person, as well as the ideology to enhance their second profession.B. The issues of higher level professional dancing education in Taiwan are as followed: (1) Lack of professional educators (2) Difficulties in furthering education (3) The increasing of teachers burden (4) Limitation of courses development due to the lack of educators (5) Characteristic is yet to be built (6) Insufficiency of promoting professional teaching material (7) Professional license system is yet to be construct (8) Students' theoretical academic capacity is yet to be exalt (9) Related market for career is illiberal (10) The process of teaching courses is time consuming (11) Student recruiting strategies are yet to be improved (12) The difficulties of recruiting students in private colleges (13) Lack of exploitation among the audience and the diminishing of sponsorships, etc. C. The strategies of higher level professional dancing education in Taiwan are as listed below: (1) Propose for emendation of furthering education methods (2) Lay down the methods to improve teachers researchers according to their needs (3) Improve research quality by teamwork research method (4) Synchronize the employment of international educator among colleges (5) Adjust the design of courses flexibly (6) Relates the development of research to the dance teaching policy (7) Develop a unique characteristic in each stream (8) Synchronize the course design with technology (9) Construct a systematic professional license unit and warehouse for professional teaching materials (10) Strengthen the concept of emphasizing both academic and practical learning (11) Establish auxiliary courses or increase the system of second profession (12) Hiring international top educators continuously (13) Enhance international interchange and performances (14) Carry out the collaboration between colleges and enterprises gradually (15) Establish job counseling department within colleges (16) Drive the setup of dancing courses among primary and secondary schools (17) Impel the foundation studies in order to strengthen the appreciation spirit towards dance art within the society (18) Organize student recruiting campaigns in union and reveal the uniqueness and developing direction (19) Offer beneficial conditions such as collaboration with enterprises in private colleges (20) Emphasize the strategies of dancing education, considering the trend in the market (21) Place importance on the culture of dance art, hence modulate the sponsorship, realize lifetime learning and improve the popularization in overall, and so on.D. The new model of constructing the higher level professional dancing education in Taiwan includes: (1) Generate appropriate idea in dancing education guidance (2) Set a clear dancing education target (3) Setup high level dancing education course (4) Construct an overall reasonable dancing education framework and appropriate mechanism in management (5) Elements in constructing the new model consist of multi-functions, popularization, democratization, familiarization, diversification, systematization, technologization, modernization, liberalization, internationalization, and other characteristics.
