Study On Education In Terms Of Space And Time

Space and time is the central to the formation of education, the scarce of time pushes against the realization of our wishes .Teachers often complain that they are too busy tot make good work preparation , other than get enough time for better thinking and learning on their work. This make things happen in the classroom going on without thinking over. Since we have bigger class-size in our schools, learning activities seldom get enough space , and this also cause the fasten way of the time. Beside this , space and time arrangement in classroom also get negative influences from the linear use of time just as it been used in the factory and seemed fail to care about students' learning procedure . These space and time problems in education presses down the wishes of education innovationIt is needed to explore the meaning of space and time in education. On the basis of what we have realized on it in our history and everyday life .we can see that the characteristics of space and time dimension in education is (1) multiple-subjects space and time transformation .(2) complex nonlinear and polychrome time frames.(3) making the future ,past and present harmony (4)everday life tendency .(5)constructive. If these characteristic are been neglected , we will meet much trouble for further innovate in this field.Modern education is not a natural thing as it in the life long before but becomes more artificial ,so it needs much more effort than ever to construct better space and time structure to achieve the values which worth to pursue. Many educational theorists fail to explain what kind of space and time structure is necessary for reach the value they suggested ,some of them give a design which we now unable to meet, others even omitted this question.Then ,we have to create one kind of it which support the students have better growth in their school life ,as well as benefit the development of the teacher profession.The New Basic Education Project make great effort on this .we can see it by analyze the real lessons in it's experimental schools to realize the way it is .Under the belief that if we want to make students develop initiatively ,teachers should give more than two-third of the time to the students for learning in the class and teacher going to the behind of the curtain.
